Been away for a week and thought I'd say hey to my Aroma Family. We went on our first ever cruise to Alaska to celebrate our 30th Anniversary! It was beyond amazing. (We aren't huge vacationers, so we cherish these precious times). I am still feeling the glow a week later. Wow!

One of the things that I marveled about during the entire trip was the ease of vaping rather than smoking. If I were still smoking, I would have spent 1/2 the trip walking miles to get to the designated smoking area. This cruise ship was huge! I tend to be a courteous vapor (am told I was the same with smoking) so I didn't vape openly while out and about on the ship (not to say I didn't enjoy a puff while in a stall in a public restroom occasionally). Generally, I just enjoyed a leisurely vape while in our cabin. The juice I took (P-38) is low on scent too. We had a balcony room, so it made it easy to crack the sliding door open occasionally. (I also count on my spouse to tell me if the scent is too much). Talk about Freedom!! No hanging outside in sometimes funky weather being scorned by non-smokers from a mile away!

I enjoyed most of my 40 years of smoking, but jeez Louise, this was a hoot!

have a great day Aroma-ites :)

It is so nice to be able to relax and vape without being scorned or having to look over your shoulder isn't it? I'm very courteous too, but I take it a few steps further. I vape in practically every circumstance I find myself in, but discretely. Either nobody has cared or caught me.

The best part is vaping in a hotel room. Walk into no stink, leave no stink. I love it.

Yeah Snork, I think discretion is the deal. Sometimes I see folks vaping big time in community settings and get concerned that it might harm "our cause." We know that there is no harm in second-hand vapor but not everyone does. I think sometimes too, our PV can turn into a pacifier, especially if our cravings are high. (Yahoo, WTA!!).

Yeah, the scorning of smokers is such an issue (used to piss me off so much that I vowed to not stop smoking on principle...hahaha). We wouldn't think of crossing the street to tell someone who is overweight who is eating a candy bar....blah, blah. I vow never to be a judgmental non analog smoker. I rather enjoy vaping with my smoking buddies. Some have to be reminded that I like being around them while they smoke and I vape.

I vape discretely because doing otherwise tends to attact the curious and/or self-righteous. The former are okay in small doses, the latter I prefer to avoid.

On a recent international 12-hour flight I used snus - I know conventional wisdom says vaping shouldn't set off the bathroom detectors, but I didn't want to be the guy who proved that wrong. The side effect was that I now enjoy an after-dinner snus more than an after-dinner vape
