I'm quite shocked in reading some of the replies from others in your lives. Such as the girlfriend who feels left out, even jealous. The grandchildren that hug you longer (because you probably smell better).

I've had both negative and positive experiences.

With friends I don't see often, I tell them I quit smoking and some of them say, "Yeah but you're still vaping & that has chemicals too." One friend absolutely refused to let me vape in her house. But yet her toothpaste has PG in it... ?...

Other people, like my mom, have full support of my new habit. My whole family love the smells and always ask me what flavor I'm vaping. When we're driving in the car, they love it when I blow the vape in their face. So I think it's weird the different forms of opinion we receive. I'm going to start a thread on my experience at Halloween Horror Nights this year... Unbelievable.

Ignorance is not a virtue that anyone should be complacent with.

I have been smoke free for over twenty years but still used smokeless (chewing tobacco) and first purchased a V2 ecig kit to get my wife off of cigs. andthen decided to join her and give up my chewing tobaccos. We have both been tobacco free for several months now and my life lovoes not having to go outside to smoke. We both vape inside and enjoy the nice aromas . Having been married for 50 years we are understanding of each other even if I did ask her to please do not smoke in our new house of six years now. We are both retired and mostly stay at home types so not not around many folks to be exposed to comments fom others.

My mom - who is 82 and has been very outspoken against smoking tobacco all her life - does not mind when I vape in her house.
She is happy that I stopped smoking and does not object to the vapor.
And yes, I asked first ;)

I am glad to hear that! Even I would not suggest you get rid of your mother...

My mother won't permit me to vape in her house. So I respect her rules...I just tell her when she wants to see her grandsons, "well you are welcome to come see them in this vapor filled house if you wish." But I have not gotten rid of her like I would with a SO...

Mine was said in jest also. ;)

Absolutely knew it was all in jest.

Darn typo! :glare:
Um, think Ocelot will mind you giving away the cubs?

Those four cubs are pure lion. The one the Ocelot and I share is clearly a mutt.

But he is kinda cute...

I am his father, after all.

Seriously, if your SO does not support your vaping...you just need to get rid of them. You know, the world is full of younger, hotter prospects. I bet this one would not shriek and nag about your vaping!

She never supported my smoking.. there are many things she doesn't support. That what I like. We are somewhat of opposites. I have experienced more in my 28 years with her than I would have with someone who would have been just like me. I think it is a good thing. Just as long as she understand that I am an individual as well.. we are all good.

Besides my wife still looks like that after the 30 years I have been with her..... No reason you have to go young... just need to find the right woman... It is especially funny to watch her going into the store with own 15 year old daughter to buy some wine and they ask her for ID. Many times they don't believe and I have to pull out mine.

Besides... her clearo is empty.

Everyone n my family has been extraordinarily supportive,,,,,

my kids have switched too,,,,,and one of my sons in law,,,,,,

my sister who has NEVER smoked or vaped, invited me to vape in her house (I didn't ask, she TOLD me to),,,,,

the only one who has a problem with it is my son,,,,,,,,,,the never smoker,,,,,,,,,

he doesn't like me to vape in his car, so I don't,,,,,other than that, all bets are off.

20 years my wife and I have been married. She finally threatened to leave if I didn't propose.
Wow, that's pretty much the same with me.

We were dating for 8 years and she said the same thing to me.
Now we have been married for 15 years, and it was best thing I ever did.
:)

She vaped a lot after we finished...don't judge her too harshly.
