I used to switch between smoking (nasty), and dipping (even nastier), both of which hurt my ability to play my instrument, by either hurting my breath support, or leaving my lip really sore, but vaping has been great for me, I can play my instrument without worry of my lungs or lips not working right.
Music is my passion, I play my instrument in various local bands around town, along with the university I am going to, so vaping has given me the chance to be able to handle those nicotene cravings without hurting my playing, which has meant a lot to me. I have been vaping for several months now. (was on Blu's for a couple of months, and now using a regular setup with different juices)
Just thought I'd share that little bit, and It may help if there are any other wind instrument players out there curious if it will hurt your playing. Vaping has not hurt mine any, after switching to it, it has made it better than when I was using tobacco.
