A kiosk first intrigued me about ecigs. They were selling some sort of supermini. I think they were selling a charger 2 batteries and some prefilled 'cartomizers' for $140. Unlabeled nicotine juice 20ml was $20 Extra bats were $25. Their cartomizers were [I think] $6 a piece.
I didnt bite back then (thank goodness) and instead got a 510 based on the advice here.
Vendors who take advantage of a gullible public really irk me. I decided I would be a real heckler [AshHole?] the next time I saw them.
So today again, I was watching them sell this thing and when they got a big crowd I started asking questions... and they couldnt answer a single one of them. (PG or VG? Battery life/formulation? Actual nicotine mg in juice? Spare parts? Other power like hooking to usb?) But they did try to say theirs was FDA approved(!). And their batteries last 8 hours/all day(!)Ha. Sure.
Their answer was to take a draw (after dripping more on their attys - and blow wisps of vapor, and show how "pure" their liquid was - dripping it on a kleenex. "...but... uh...everything you need is here... what more do you need to smoke?"8-o
So I say, (pulling out my 510 and billowing plumes of ECOpure vapor) "I got this with 4 batteries, 2 chargers, and extra atomizers for 75 some bucks. I get about 1-2 hours of constant "smoking" on a battery - you keep swapping your batteries and adding juice and we've only been here 15 min - why should people pay $140? for that?"
Needless to say there was complete silence for a moment and about 7 guys and 2 women in the crowd swarmed down on me with questions. Quite funny actually.
I politely nodded these people away from the kiosk a bit and after a lot of explanation and giving them some resourses, most left very happy as 2 were about to lay out $$ for multiple kits. One offered me $100 for my 2 batts, atty, gnawed on cart, and my 15ml travel bottle of ecopure. (I stated I couldnt do that - it wouldnt be fair and thats why I kinda made a scene...
I expect quite a few will be coming here for more advice.... and I think that vendor will do their homework or at least refine their schtick... or maybe not. As I was leaving they had another crowd....and I recieved a real nasty look from the salespeople.
