Hello,

So I am new to this forum and haven't asked questions a lot around. I have been using the smok Procolor with DROP rda and I'm thinking about getting the VV Pulse X. I was vaping at 70W, .2ohms at 20Amps. I have Samsung 25r's, 30Q's and Sony VTC4's. The question that i have is:
If I use a single battery mod, does the wattage matter if I do not go above the rated CDR? In a dual battery mod, each battery halves the wattage, but share the amps, is something different with a single battery mod?

Of the cells you've listed...

Samsung 25R good to 60 watts
Samsung 30Q food to 45 watts
Sony VTC4 good to 75 watts

Of course, as batteries are, they are going to be less efficient.

If you're truly planning on upgrading to a Pulse X, spend a couple more $ and get a couple decent 21700 cells. They'll be good for up to 75 watts, and double the battery life.

Well It's just that I have already these and I didn't know if I could use them or not. I'm thinking about the IJOY 20700 40A. As I read, it can go up to 90W

The Ijoy 20700 are inaccurately rated. They are also rewraps, so you never quite know what you're getting. And, they're 3000 mAh. Spend the extra buck or two and get...
Samsung 30T 21700 35A Flat Top 3000mAh Battery - Genuine
You'll have 30 solid amps, and 3750 mAh - more than 2 x Sony VTC4 - in each battery.

EDIT: Sorry 30T are not 3750 mAh... just 3000... The 40T is 4000 mAh and 30 A... Oops

Thank you for the info! :) I guess the 40T is a truly good choice! I can get them for 20Euros at our local online store. But they seem to be a bit pricy compared to the VTC4's and 25r's that are on sale for 4 euros each. But everything comes at a cost! :)

Choose the batteries you use on a regulated mod based on the wattage setting that you'll use and from the amp rating of the batteries.

Are you using a single, dual, or triple battery mod? In the interests of keeping things simple:

-If you use a good quality 15 amp CDR battery like the Samsung 30Q or Sony VTC6, then you are good up to 45 watts per battery; 90 watts using two; 135 watts for three batteries.

-If you use a good quality 20 amp CDR battery like the LG HG2 or Samsung 25R then you are good for 60 watts per battery. If using a 2-battery regulated mod, you're good for 120 watts as you have two batteries. If you are using a 3-battery mod, you're good for 180.

-If you use a single 25 amp CDR battery like the Sony VTC5A, then you are good for 75 watts per battery, 150 watts for two batteries, and 225 watts with three.

-If you use a single 30 amp CDR battery like the LG HB6 you are good up to 90 watts; with a pair of 30 amp CDR batteries you could safely do 180 watts.

(Total wattage doubles using 2 batteries; Triples using 3 batteries.)

Tiny clarification the 40T is listed by Mooch as a 25A 4000 mAh battery. Still a terrific battery. I use it in my Topside at 50W and it feels like it'll run forever. Unfortunately, it takes a while to recharge if you run it down. That's a 4000 mAh battery for you.
