I would think it would date way back. Wouldnt just a heated up metal tray vaporize tobacco? Im not too sure, been in the vapin scene long but im new to tobacco.

A pic would help, but as long as they had a heat source to heat up/melt the oils in the tobacco plant without burning the tobacco that would be considered successfully vaporizing it.
