That's why I try to avoid vaping in public places, many still looks as us as though we're doing something weird or illegal. A lot of folks has never heard of vaping, let alone knowing what one is doing blowing those clouds & like in an entrance or public place, it's really disrespectful. That's why many businesses has places where one can dump their analogs, beyond that point is where the rules are broken. Evidently, the clouds blew beyond that point.

If one wants to be respected, then respect the rights of others. I mean, what's wrong with a small ego type of device in public & taking a few vapes while on the way to the entrance? Having a cloud contest at a bus stop, store entrance, wherever, those clouds are going to travel one way or the other. True, we can't control which way the wind blows, yet we can be a bit more discrete & save the clouds for at home or more than a 'few steps away'.

Just my take on it.

How can one convert smokers unless they are shown the clouds?...

Edit: and typically my anger lasts 5 minutes, not like the ones some other people may have that lasts days, years, generations.

Evidently, the lady in question was a non-smoker & didn't want to be converted.

I was a 37 year smoker, and the man whom led me to vaping approached me in a nice way. Asked me if I had a couple of minutes, I said yes, he asked me how long had i smoked, I told him & he asked if I'd be interested in a different way. Within 20 minutes we were in his work van & it was loaded with clouds, yet unlike analogs, it wasn't unpleasant, though I was feeling dizzy by the testing of the devices & e-juices. Left with a $20 starter kit, a lot of samples & quit within 3 days, literally gagging on my last few.

There are right & wrong ways to convert others from analogs.

That seems a little odd, in and of itself. I don't get in vans with strangers...

Well, he actually wasn't a stranger, he's an established self employed hardwood floor refinisher that had been working at the vacant home next door for about 2 weeks prior to our meeting & well known in the business. I had seen his van from time to time over the years locally, anyway I was taking the trash to the curb & was on the way back when he approached me. Like me, he was a long term smoker, and we talked for several times after that. Actually he & his wife has a side business in vaping supplies, and has a flea market booth setup every Saturday, weather permitting & he's my personal supplier of e-juices & has helped me with deals on open box goods at discounted prices. I call him, place my order & it's hand delivered. His wife makes the e-juices, he's the hardware manager & well versed on safety.

All except one of my mods came from him, my first from him after the starter kit was an Astro clone (hard to find these days). And unlike the doctors with their suggestions to give up the analogs, gums, patches, medication, all except some type of feedback that I wanted no part of, his approach actually worked. See, I was experiencing health issues from smoking, like chest pain on the right side, having pleural fluid buildup, pneumonia, asthma like effects. Once I gave up the analogs, within a couple of weeks I could begin to smell & taste again, a month or so later my chest no longer hurt, the asthma like symptoms were gone, along with the pleural fluid buildup/pneumonia, all was gone inside of three months.

So in essence, he likely extended my life by years with his approaching me. I'm saving a fortune just from paying for doctor visits & medications for what I now know came from 37 years of analogs, beginning at the age of 14, not to mention the pain associated with the issues, and that's on top of the chronic pain that has left me disabled for the rest of my life.

And on that very first meeting, gave me a CASSA pamphlet & wrote the name of this forum on it, since we had discussed I frequent tech forums (am an Advisor at the BleepingComputer.com site). We spent two hours together on that first meeting. Outside of family & doctor visits, he's really the only other human to human contact I have. All of my other friends/contacts are on forums.

I'm just thankful that I forgot to take the trash out earlier, otherwise I may not be here posting right now.

Thanks for sharing Cat, and of course I chose the wrong phrase to quote :)

However, I think we are lucky to have seen this phenomenon take place in our times.

The other day i was buing sone liquid at a local vendor in a mall and saw a couple of girls that must have been 15yrs old, asking about some liquid prices.

Maybe they shouldn't be allowed to vape at that age (but they would find a way to do it anyway), but I was glad they were considering the ecig, as society is still full with role models from the smoking era, from movie stars to singers and bands.

They portrayed themselves like the cig added mystery, added maturity, added character and it is difficult to fight that.
