I've always tried to be "discrete". Sort of signaling I'm just taking a puff, not trying to make a statement. That's good enough for most people. I've also found, if there is little or no visible vapor even if somebody notices it's not worth their while to make an issue of it. Part of the fun is taking a puff when I want where I want and attracting no attention. Been doing it for years. I tried the little pod systems and lost interest. A Pico with a smallish rda works fine.

I vape wherever I want outdoors but I do go out of my way to make sure I'm not blowing it at people, more courtesy than I see smokers giving bystanders.

I posted this in another thread but it's worth repeating... My Dad was walking into the drug store taking a huge rip off of his mod and this young adult was just staring at him the whole time. As my Dad's blowing it out he's still starting at him and had to turn his head around to do so. My Dad notices this woman pushing her mother in a wheelchair into the store and she's kinda laughing at what just happened so he says to her "Did you see the look on that kid's face? He thought my head was going to explode!" The lady was cracking up and my Dad had a short conversation with her about e-cigs.

Yes I have been refraining in public so no "looks." I can't vape high PG (sensitive) so I only vape in my car and my house now.

I might also add I have wanted to live in England since about the age of 19 but it has not worked out. Also I can't they do the WORST job of managing MI, in my humble opinion. Et.c

It is what it is. I live in a tiny town, people are always saying they have "Sen" me places. This also requires not wearing the comfortable sweat pants with the droopy .... and whatever, so it's not just vaping.

I suppose the side effect is it is making me "politer." I'm not sure how I feel about that side effect.
But it's not just vaping for me it's llviing where I do.

I think Douglas may be one of the "real" small towns left in America in this weird sort of way, but I like it.

Except for the vaping dal. Also when I finally make it to an AA meeting I'm pretty sure everyone will know about THAT too, but some things I don't care about,, that is one of them.

I always blow my clouds away from people to be polite but I never use salt nic options I’m always using low ohm mech mods or my profile RTA. Loud and proud. But it’s been pointed out to me I’m usually giving people the look like you approach me and I’ll kill you. Anyone ever says anything like vaping is for pussies or anything along those lines I just stop what I’m doing and say what the f*** did you just say to me? Your mind can’t fathom the amount of s*** that’s gone into my body over the years ! Or I’ll just say are you looking for a good scrap or just looking to talk crap.

That usually stops them but I live where most people are complete wussies themselves so I don’t take it too hard.

It's a shame that so many of us allowed ourselves to be treated like smokers in public places. It allowed the "you may not have any fun" crowd to slam our heads against the wall with ease without having to show cause this time. We acted like smokers, cringed, went out with the smokers and apologized like we were doing something wrong.

It took them decades to change the no-smoking sections of restaurants into non smoking outdoor stadiums. They didn't even break a sweat on this one.

I have the opposite problem, I shave my head... Us shaved head guys try not to congregate too close together or people will think we are ..... Nations. 1 guy by himself is fine, two is pushing it, but you get three or more of us together and it's not so good. lol

About four or five chrome-domes in the shop I used to work at....
I told them that OSHA had declared it against the rules for them to stand in a single group, because the glare was a safety hazard...

    My $0.02 to this discussion.

I was reading an article about vaping that was written in England. Rather than banning vaping, the English regulated it. They capped available nic juice at 20 mgs. They found a way to get around the EU's regulation capping liquid capacity at 2 ml's. They instituted an age check. And so on.

But what really caught my eye was this statement in the article: "The problem with the US and health care crises is a health care crises becomes a moral crusade".

Truer words were never written. If there's a problem with illegal THC additives, go after the problem. If there's a problem with 59mgs of nic in Juul, regulate it.

But nooo, it becomes a moral crusade with politicians leading the way.

There's a joke in that last sentence somewhere.

History doesn't repeat, but it often rhymes:

I have serious doubts about a full ban in the US. The threats of banning is just a tactical maneuver to herd us all into using BT and BP products imo.
I am not going to count on it but I also wouldn't be surprised if at a certain point after they've gotten everyone sufficiently frothing at the bit and screaming the sky is falling, they declare that research or some other breakthrough in the death cases has happened and they're going to regulate and tax exorbitantly but not ban thinking that just introducing massive taxes upon a product causes some uproar but if those people were facing the prospect of losing the legality of their products the previous week they'll be more likely to quietly accept their massive taxation. Of course that's going on the idea that there's anything anyone can do about taxation with out You know the Boston Tea Party. For the general public they can frame it as though they're going to use the money for smoking cessation and teen education and making products safer when in fact it will go into a slush fund just like the mass settlement where I believe one state even used their anti-smoking money to increase their propagation of tobacco. And then when the election comes around in 2020 they can hope to look like a hero to everyone not only did they curb teen vaping and stop the scourge vaping death but they also preserved the American freedom of adults being able to responsibly use a now extremely expensive product they will act like it's a gift to us that they didn't just take away our stuff. And as to their donors all of the scaremongering in the increase on prices would have the intended effect of getting some people to go back to analogs so everyone would be happy other than the only people they don't care about and that's people that consciously decided to take control of their health and start vaping instead of smoking.
