I'd go outside and vape. I still do. I don't want the vapor in my house.

Tried a new liquid last night. After a few vape it felt like my throat was closing up and my arms got this weird feeling. I stopped vaping and 5 minutes later I felt better. A relationship is give and take. You give some and you take some.

What juice gave you those symptoms?

Just curious, why don't you want the vapor in the house? Aside from a slight smell from some juices, there is nothing that lingers and the second hand vapor has been proven to be quite innocuous.

It was a rum/menthol blend. One of the new ones from Baker. It was strange. I must be allergic to something in it. It was hard to describe the taste, but the first puff was very tasty.

My wife doesn't like the "cloud" It isn't the smell. Some white cloud in her face around her irritates her. I also do not mind sitting outside. There are certain perfumes and hairsprays that she doesn't use because it irritates me. Out of respect for her, I do not vape in the house. I was coming in from the porch last night and exhaled as I was coming in. She just smiled at me.

Hi everyone,

My husband says that when I vape in the same room as him, it bothers his eyes and "effects his breathing" has anyone else had people in their household make the same complaints? Sometimes I wonder if its a little psychological with him (he doesn't like the sound sometimes too), but I don't want to do it in the house if it really is physically irritating.

Well you can tell him that you have now switched to straight VG which is way better and tell him he will no longer be allergic to it and if he stops complaining then you know it was in his head. My mom lives downstairs from me and says the smell of it bothers her along with air fresheners( if she sees it in my car) bother her but yet she uses all of these fabric softeners all which smell. If she doesn't see the air freshener in my car she doesn't complain so it's in her head. So he could be having probs or also is just whining. I did ask my mom about the fabric sheets she uses and she said those don't bother her but the smell of blueberries does?? Yep I'm sure..lol I did tell her that her smoking bothers me as I'm inhaling 2nd hand smoke and it stinks she will stop complaining then..lol just my 2 cents for the day :)

LOL! We do have our basement partially finished, drywall up, but all of that got put on hold when HE blew the motor to his Mini Cooper. With the cost of that he should be kissing my .... for saving money by vaping!

Interesting.

Partially Finished Man Cave. Vaping Bothers Husband. And Training Camp has Started.

Not trying to put thoughts into you head. But all Pieces are starting to Come Together.

No asthma, no visible symptoms. He only has a problem when we are in the same room and I am vaping.

I vape different ratios, anywhere from 50/50 to 80/20 PG/VG

If I heard him cough or see him rubbing his eyes, I'd stop right away, but it's hard to believe because he doesn't appear short of breath or anything

Well all of that coupled with his fussing about the noise? I would say he is full of it!

He only complains when he sees you vaping. I am guessing he heard something negative about vaping and it stuck in his head.

Either tell hm to get over it and that he is being a drama queen or spend your time in another room. When he asks you why you know longer sitt in the room with him tell him because he complains about your vaping. Or tell him if it bothes him so much he can leave the room.

I'd have to go along with this. My husband is a non-smoker, non-vaper, and he is absolutely THRILLED for me to vape in the house, in the truck, anywhere at all; he says he smells absolutely nothing from the Virginia I vape, though he says he detects the faintest odor from the blueberry muffin I vape, but that it smells slightly like sweet pipe tobacco -- not the *smoke*, just the pipe tobacco itself -- not a bad smell. And he was absolutely choked up if I *smoked* in the truck, even with the windows down, but vaping causes him no problems whatever, even with all windows rolled up.

Also, my mom has COPD and several allergies, and she has ZERO problems with me vaping in her house. At first she joked around about the "smoke" having no smell, but she knows it's really vapor, and now she's accustomed to seeing me using this big honking device and vapor coming out my mouth, and doesn't really react at all.

Unless he has a hitherto-unknown allergy to PG (which seems unlikely since that stuff is in EVERYTHING), then he's just being a fussy-pants and finding a reason to criticize you and complain, or get you to go into another room, and if he's so interested in you being somewhere other than with him, then perhaps it really is time for a husband upgrade. :D Try that, sitting a different room from him all the time, and see if he complains about that, and if so, just kindly explain that you don't want to bother him with your vaping, so you'll sit in a different room from him -- and see what he has to say about that. :D

You reminded me of a story...
Hubby and I rented a car. Hubby does smoke. Of course not in a rental. I was vaping sour apple and he said "that smells like smoke" (meaning a cigarette)
Really??
He is well aware of vaping and does so sometimes himself. He fully knows better but he is sooo paranoid about the deposit whenever we rent a car that his common sense about vaping went out the window.
I just told him that he was being stupid as I laughed and continued vaping. I think that the lingering smell from his smoke breaks during the road trip would be more of an issue than my vaping!
(Not to mention that the owner of the place we rent from smokes like a chimney so he is not going to smell anything anyways!!)
