Hi everyone,

My husband says that when I vape in the same room as him, it bothers his eyes and "effects his breathing" has anyone else had people in their household make the same complaints? Sometimes I wonder if its a little psychological with him (he doesn't like the sound sometimes too), but I don't want to do it in the house if it really is physically irritating.

There is a small chance that it could really irritate him. However, you know him best and you indicated it may be psychological.
Also since he fusses over the noise?? I am going to lean towards he is just being fussy and coming up with reasons to complain.

I am guessing that he does not smoke? How did he act when (if) you smoked before you started vaping?
Does he fuss about other household smells? Like when your cooking or air fresheners and cleaners?

I have not heard that before and I vape around people that if there was any reason they could come up with to keep me from vaping, they would. Did hubby complain about smoking the "nails" around him?

He never complained about the other stuff! He's never smoked, but allowed me to smoke in his apartment when we were dating. I never smoked in the house because we have kids and I don't vape in the same room as my children when they are awake.

Nothing bothers him but the vaping, and I use lots of cleaners and air fresheners....and he loves the smell of my cooking. I really think he is just being an old fart about it, but if he could be allergic I don't want to dismiss ya know?

Are you blowing massive clouds? Unless you are filling the room, it seems weird. The vapor dissipates very quickly. However, if my wife or kids indicated any discomfort from my vaping, I'd move it outside.

I'm definitely not a massive cloud blower, I use an mvp2.....and am more concerned about flavor than anything.

I live in a house full of non-smokers (my wife, my mother in law, my kids) and they have never complained. Of course, they are also ecstatic that I don't smoke the stinkies anymore so they might not be inclined to complain in the first place. Your husband may certainly be sensitive to PG like others have suggested so you could try switching to an all VG juice as an experiment. As to the sound, what setup are you using? Certain pulse width modulated mods sound like a rattlesnake and can be irritating to some people so you might want to consider switching to a quieter setup like the SR72 ego twist style battery from Mig Cigs combined with a BDC mini Aerotank from Kanger, which is very quiet and gets great flavor, in my opinion. You can also minimize and in some cases totally eliminate any vapor on the exhale by holding it in for longer periods, which may help if his reaction is psychological in nature. Just a few thoughts - much luck on your journey :)

Just caught your last post - According to Phil Busardo the MVP 2 isn't pulse width modulated so I'm not sure why the sound should bother your husband at this point. Flavor wise, I still recommend the Kanger Aerotanks or the new Aspire Mini with the vertical coil unless you prefer to build your own coils. Here's a link to Phil's video review, in case you're interested - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTrQPngaIm8

Thanks for the suggestion! Those are two i havent tried!

With certain clearomizers (i have a variety) there is a slight crackle sound, it's not loud, he's just finicky. Can't hear me when I ask him to take the trash out, but certainly can hear my little vape noises lol!

Odd that he never complained when you smoked in his apartment! Is he really displaying any actual symptoms or is he just commenting about it?
Has he ever has asthma?

What is the ratio of pg/vg in your liquids? Does he tend to have a problem if he walks in a room you were vaping in but he did not see you vape?
