Vaping island castaway

I have been vaping for a few months now and am yet to see another vapor. It appears that I am the only one vaping in Mobile Alabama but I feel they should be out there. I am a lone vapor lost in the clouds of analog smoke. It seems that in order to get another I will have to recruit them since I give daily tutorials on vaping so often anyway. I just don't know how to make it click that it is fun.

I am in Louisiana and haven't found another vaper either, in fact, I went to Biloxi MS last week and really enjoyed staying in a NO Smoking ROOM, was the only vaper in any casino I went in. Got some funny looks in the Hard Rock, of all places. However after smoking for over 47 years and vapping for over 2 months now, life is very good and I really don't care if I meet another e-cig user or not. We are a very new group of very smart people LOL

Same here. I get alot of "I tried those once but didn't like it" but nobody who is actively vaping.

I'm in metro Atlanta and I'm the only one I've ever seen vaping other than a friend of mine at work that told me about e- cigs. Of course he still smoke analogs so I'm the only one I know that vapes exclusively.

Hey I know what you mean. I am near Birmingham and have yet to see another vaper. I would love to have some vape buddies to hang out with, maybe one day.

I've never seen another vaper in the Toronto area. I'd never even heard of it 'til earlier this year. But I expect this sort of thing -- provided the FDA and kin either leave it the hell alone or approve it safe for use in an official capacity -- is going to take a long time to garner widespread adoption because it's pretty different than analog smokes, even though the process and results are largely the same, if much better for you. eCigs did get some air time in a segment on The Doctors and has been in various new segments, so it's getting recognized in the US to some degree at least. I can only hope that continues to be the case and recognition and adoption rates grow.

Albany New York...and I constantly look when I"m driving, for a fellow vaporer (?) Nada. But then perhaps they are just as self conscience as me and don't vape at stop lights? Well tomorrow I will be brave. Promise.

I got introduced to vaping by my step-mother. After I started vaping at work the two smokers who share the office space I am in both switched to e-cigs. Then a bunch of our students (Adult!) who were smokers, saw the staff with e-cigs and some of them have switched. Now we are quite a group.

Thanks for the comments. I dont think they will be wide spread until they ban smoking in bars down here. I did enjoy vaping at a local beer festival in the one non smoking bar. I was asked what I was doing told them vaping and it was cool so that was nice.
