Vaping less satisfying outdoors?

The key thing to remember is this: smoking gives you ash and tar, at considerable temperatures too. So vaping cannot match that. But do you really want to be inhaling hot ash and tar?

If you have ever cut down on sugar in tea, say, you will remember how bad it tasted at first. But some weeks later, that 2 spoons of sugar tea now tastes disgusting! So give it time. After all it takes some weeks for the body to get rid of all the accumulated crap; and then your taste and smell will begin to make vaping seem both stronger and more tasty :)

My 510 has great vapor indoors and out, but is less satisfying outdoors.

One thing that has made a difference for me... a high-voltage device. Absolutely, positively, just as satisfying outdoors as in.

@ tmbrown - good tip about adjusting nic outdoors for bigger throat hit. Hadn't thought about doing that! I do use one of my biggest throat hit liquids outdoors which always improves that aspect, but didn't think of nic.

Haven't really noticed an inside-outside difference.

I was chewing 6 pc of nicotine gum a day and smoking 10 tobacco cigs for a good year before I took up vaping. Ditched the cigs but continued the gum. I notice that when I have put a piece of gum in my mouth I get no throat hit. After I have chewed it for a while, the hits come back.

(I'm trying to wean myself off the gum. Vaping is cheaper.)

Trying this again (stupid network at work).

Yes, you will see more vapor in a cool/humid atmosphere as opposed to hot/dry.

When PG is vaporized it leaves the atty and hits the cooler air in the mouthpiece, you and the ambient air. This causes it to condence and give you visible vapor.

As long as the temp of the surrounding air and the vapor are dissimilar (Vapor being the warmer of the two), you see the vapor. Go blow a hit into your freezer and you will see much more vapor.

The humidity also helps the hang time because of a reduction in evaporation.

I've experienced this as well. I really like lots and lots of vapor. I have found that the Janty Stick actually produces the most vapor, especially with VG the most consistently of all the devices I've tried.

I've only been analog free for about 30 days and am just now starting to taste flavors in the juice, after 45 years of smoking. Maybe why the vapor is so important to me.

I have found that if I allow the vapor to just roll out of my mouth while outside or driving I feel a cooling effect on my skin as the vapor passes over it. I don't notice this cooling effect inside. But this replaces needing to see the vapor. The mind is a very funny thing.
