Vaping more than smoking analogs after switching?

I'm pretty new to ecigs and received my ego-t kit a few weeks ago. (didn't like the leaky tanks so I got the EMDCC's and absolutely love them)

I haven't touched an analog since getting my kit (and definitely have no inclination to go back), but now I find I vape so much more often than when I was smoking analogs. Has anyone had the same experience?

It's just so easy to pull out the ecig and vape indoors now.

I find I vape more...I started with a 12mg juice and it was just a bit weak on the nic...went up to 16mg and it worked fine but I did chain vape...got some 24mg and I can vape like I did the funkarettes...take 10 Rso puffs, put it down and pick up latter and repeat...decided I like the 16better and just chain vape to my hearts content........

Yes, I think almost all of us have had the same experience. We don't absorb as much nicotine with vaping compared to smoking, so that's a factor. Also, you can chain vape and not feel crappy like you can when you smoke too much. And you can get away with it in more places at more times. Also, it's delicious. Most of us find ourselves vaping a lot more often than we smoked. Some people cut down eventually. Some of us just chain-vape to our heart's content.

Just be careful not to overdo it with high-nic liquids. Nicotine OD is not pleasant.

I definitely vape more then I smoked. When I smoked analogs it was about one cig every 1 or 2 hours. One day I made a promise to my gf at the time that I would only smoke half a cig and throw it out. Next day I switched from regulars to 100's. True story.

I felt like I was on some kind of 'smoke' schedule. Had to have one after waking up, after breakfast, driving to work, lunch break, driving home, pre-dinner smoke, post dinner smoke, etc..

When I switched, my smoking schedule didn't exist anymore. Now I vape during breakfast and I don't stop until I turn off the lights to go to sleep :)

whew! thought I was alone and going overboard. I started off with the 24mg juice but found it too strong and have scaled back to 18mg or lower. Didn't realize that the nicotine absorption rate was lower than smoking and MsTick is right that it is definitely tastier than smoking!

Thank you all for the feedback! Everyone has been amazing on this forum and offering up some valuable advice.

Now back to the hunt for my all day vape flavor...

smoking over a pack a day of them damn stinkies. vaping for pert near a week now and chain vaping big time. Wasn't really chain smoking while on the analogs but smoking a lot and feeling like crap, out of breath all the time wheezing and coughing. now i'm a chain vaper and actually feeling good, sleeping better, can acually climb a flight of stairs without gasping for breath (perty good for someone with severe copd) a lot more active, eat better, looking better. omg! It's all good

As a new vaper, I have realized that vaping will indeed change my entire life. Not only with the physical aspects of quitting smoking (mostly health) but also socially and even in my marriage. I have my wife almost convinced to put the Newports down and vape along beside me. I haven't touched an analog since I picked up my first e-cig. (Which unfortunately was a piece of .... made in china) But I have graduated to the eGo-T and I couldn't be happier. I have definitely noticed that I vape wayyy more than I ever smoked. But fortunately for me, I feel GREAT about vaping non-stop. My only regret in regards to vaping is that I didn't find out about it sooner. I could have saved myself alot of cash!! =) Also, on a side note, I'm a recovering addict who had alot of issues with drugs my entire life. Like the obsessive and complusive urges and what not, and I must say, the true addict in me shines through when I vape and talk about vaping, but for once in my entire life, my addiction isn't killing me and hurting those around me!! Just for today I don't have to use any drugs. Just for today I can vape with pride and feel great about it!! POWER TO THE VAPERS!!! <3

My husband got so freaked out when I vaped constantly, kept talking about me being addicted. HELL YES I AM! Lol, I can vape and not feel horrible or stinky (plus I get all of the delicious flavors without snacking on candy all day). Then he started using it and vapes almost the whole time he's at home (he doesn't take it to work because it might get damaged with his work, he's only a social smoker anyway).

I know what you mean. I am one of the nation's newly unemployed. So while I job search online all day, I vape all day!!!! The fact that I have not smoked a cig since 8/20, and smoked 1 PAD for over 40yrs, you cannot imagine how excited and pleased that I am not smoking. And the fact that I am by myself all day, and could very easily cheat and no-one would know (yeah, I used that excuse many times before over the years). My strategy was (and still is) if I think of a cigarette, I grab my e-cig. Without fail. I think I vape longer because I don't have that built-in timer of an analog. You know, when it burns down. The longer you smoke it, the hotter and shorter it gets, also tastes worse. (Plus my ecigs actually tastes good, and I seem to feel good, whereas the analogs don't make you feel good, only made you feel less bad, relieving stress.) Now, I'll puff and puff but will not put it down, until it starts flashing at me (hmmm, it does have a timer). Then as soon as it occurs to me that I'm not vaping, I'll pick it up again. Heck, I do not care. It is actually enjoyable again, like I remember it being when I was a teenager, trying to look cool and fit in. (I know if I could honestly remember what is was like back then, it was not that cool, but whatever.) Anyway, I tip my ecig to you, may you vape in continued health and happiness. Puff, Puff, Puuuuuuuufffffffff......, aaaahhhhhh.... That's good.

Good thread!
I've gone from 25-45 (hand rolled) analogs/day to 1 or 2. The 1st in the morning & the one after dinner are HARD to quit, but I'll get there.
My nic intake's definitely much higher - I chain vape 'till my heart's like a panicked bunny, trying to escape. Ordered liq with lower nic concentration.
Vaping's like a revelation to me. I'm really excited. Ordering vaping stuff like a madman. Can't stop talking about it to my GF. Side effect(?): Drinking much more coffee(?).
I'm the kind of person who worries too much. I'm paranoid that importing nic liquids will become illegal here in Norway.
Gonna get some more coffee (puff, puff)

That was the real test for me. The after food smoke. Vaping did it for me. Perhaps you should go for something with more throat hit to it. Higher PG vs VG fluid (just for those two times each day) ?
