I agree. Ya know I keep hearing about harm reduction and comparing this to methadone clinics but this not the same at all. The methadone is actually legal and used to wean people off something illicit. In our case, smoking remains perfectly legal and easily accessible. People have a real choice about whether to smoke or vape, therefore vaping needs to remain competitive.

If the government would just leave people alone with this, I believe smoking would extinguish itself.

Tobacco products are only legal because of the taxes. Had they taxed Coca Cola back when it first came out you can bet your last dollar it'd still contain the illegal drug that gave it its name.
I'm a fan of veggie burgers on occasion but like veggie chicken patties better.
Moderators,I apologize that I didn't know the name of the drug would trigger the swear word filter. I've edited my post to remove it.

If they ban my veggie burger, I'll have no choice but to revert to hamburgers which is what they want since they make money off of every hamburger sold. Follow the money.

Precisely.
Ban veggie burgers! Save the beef industry! Save our taxes! Save our cushy jobs in Obesity Control!

Uhm... I mean, of course... "Save the children!" :D
Because veggie burgers are dangerous. Because... because reasons. :p

Guess what. They can ban veggie burgers but they can't ban black beans, spices, and other ingredients I use to make my own, which are better, fresher, cheaper, and assure that I know there aren't any weird chemicals or contaminants in them anyway!! What will they do next, try to outlaw frying pans? Fine I will bake the patties.

Anyway know what, falafel is almost the very same thing and those will remain perfectly legal no matter what.

Sound familiar? I know that I'm learning how to wrap a coil ;)

I eat veggie burgers and veggie sausage patties. Took a long time to find ones that taste good enough to eat. It's a lot like vaping in that sense. Took some patience to stick with it until I found something that works for me. I still eat meat, but it's veggie products are a good tool to cut back on meat with. Wonder what the meat industry does to undermine veggie products...

Everything they can ;) BUT like the analogous tobacco/eCig situation, they are also wisely buying up companies that make alternative products so they can tap into that market as well. I think Silk (soy milk etc) is actually owned by Dean Foods now which is the parent company for many regular dairy products.

Philip Morris bought 7-Up decades ago and I think some cookie making companies as well. My memory wants to say it was FFV and Nabisco but my memory fails me at times.
Several fast food places are owned by the same company, like Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, KFC etc.
Don't even get me started on the media conglomerates.
It's all part of the plan by the 4th branch of our government.
If they outlaw veggie burgers and beef burgers I'll grill road kill burgers. :D

Oh, I know. I generally eschew Silk products because of who owns them (like lots of people do with Blu now that BT has bought it)... I don't want to see a big producer (of eCigs or anything else) kick out all the little guys.

OTOH Silk makes seasonal nogs and that is awesome for me because lactose. Mommie likes a li'l Nashville Nog during the holidays and that had been off the menu for me for a long time ;) I'm not an economist but it seems like there are maybe some positives, when a large industry gets involved in smaller alternatives.
