Hello everyone. I have a few quick questions. How do you guys feel about vaping without nicotine? I really want to get into vaping, but my girlfriend is under the belief that if I START out with 0mg, that I'll move UP to nicotine, and then I'll be on ANALOGS. I am not a smoker, nor have I ever been (minus a few other things). My interest in vaping began when I tried a hookah at a party. I really enjoyed the flavor and smoothness, but hated that it contained nicotine. I mentioned that i wanted to try a hookah-pen, she brought up this argument. Despite her assertions, I purchased one anyway without her knowledge. I really enjoyed it, as it was a SMOOTH brand hookah pen with 0mg of nicotine and had a berry flavor. However, I didn't like how it didn't last anywhere near the 500 puffs advertised. So to save money, I desire to invest in a vape with a tank (I'm thinking a kanger tank), and a battery. My goal for this set up is for me to have the smoothest vaping experience possible. By that, I mean I don't want any "throat hit"...i think. I just don't want it to burn the back of my throat. some members have provided me with interesting recommendations. However, I would like your input on whether or not I should go into vaping as a hobby since I do not have a nicotine addiction to begin with? Is it likely that I'll move UP to ANALOGS? Finally, if I should go into vaping, how do I achieve the smoothest and most flavorful experience possible? Thank you all for reading my post!
Best Wishes!!!:vapor:

You don't have to worry about a throat hit without nicotine. You also shouldn't have to worry about moving "up" to tobacco cigarettes because you're an adult with self-control and wouldn't do something silly like that, plus you'd probably hate cigarettes because they're harsh and addictive and miserable.

As far as smooth and flavorful, there are plenty of vendors of e-liquid that people recommend around here, and also equipment. Mini-Protank 2 etc etc etc etc etc.

Why the mini pro-tank? Well, it's inexpensive, less "fiddly" than others, easy to fill, doesn't hold a lot of e-liquid making it easier to change flavors, and work very well on an eGo-style battery (which is also inexpensive, charges up in a couple of hours, and isn't "fiddly" either). Don't worry about moving "up" to analogs. You would only do that if you actually wanted to smoke them. They are nasty tasting and stinky compared to vapes. The vape experience is completely different than smoking the analogs. There are thousands of flavors to pick with vapes, only two (menthol and non-menthol) for the analogs. No comparison. Get several eGo batteries (so that you have spares) and several mini tanks (so that you can rotate flavors easily). Enjoy.

Hi Killahz,

Welcome! There is no reason to think that if you start vaping at 0mg nicotine that you will move up to juice with nicotine. It is certainly possible, but almost every juice comes in a 0 nicotine variety. Admittedly, there are some vendors that make juices in a way that it is not possible to actually get 0 nicotine, but if they are good, they will disclose that up front, not try to hide it. In the end, even if you decide to vape a juice WITH nicotine, that certainly doesn't mean that you will keep increasing the nicotine level and ultimately become a smoker.

My favorite B&M (Vape Dojois owned by a married couple that both vape. Rachel is a vaper that has never smoked, and she vapes 0 nic juices. I thought this was very surprising when I first started vaping back in February, but since then I have met quite a few people that vape 0 nic juice and have never smoked, for many of the reasons you stated.

As for the smoothest vape, the higher the VG content of the juice, the smoother the vape will be. Equipment also plays a part in the equation, bottom coil tanks like the Kanger Protank and the iSmoka BCC will be smoother than top coil tanks like the iClear tanks. This is because the bottom coil tanks are "cooler" (temperature, not looks). That is not to say that you can't get a smooth vape from a top coil tank, it likely just won't be AS smooth.

YMMV, hope this helps!
