Sorry, guess I'm in the minority. I didn't notice, and probably never would have. I'm sure he served a purpose, and I watched a few of his reviews. But he really got on my nerves, and only watched him if no one else did decent reviews on a product I wanted to see.

That said, I despise Google's politics, and their power even more. I guess I should help.

Right. I'm not a HUGE fan of Vic's either. In fact, not a huge fan of any youtube vaper really.

It's just a noteworthy and newsworthy event in the vaposphere, especially given the times are are facing.

Yep. There are quite a few reviewers I personally can't stand. My solution is I DON'T WATCH THEM! Those same reviewers do have followers and I say good for them and their followers. What You Tube is doing is wrong on so many levels. Unfortunately You Tube can do whatever they want to when it comes to content.

guys,i know you want this to be about vaping, but it's not.
guys on mideval weapons channels are getting hit too.

Exactly.

But I tried posting this news to some medieval weapons forums and no one cared, so I posted it on ECF instead.

I don't watch any vape related videos anymore. Just not worth it to me for the time it takes. I have better things to do with my limited time on this Earth. But I do think I should have the option if I choose.

For me its not about liking....or not about a reviewer. I'm not in it to find a idol. I'm only there to see the product and if its for me. I mean one can only see so much from a suppliers pictures. I'm interested in the details. I hardly pay any notice to their personalities. I zoom back and forth through the review to educate myself....that's it.

I agree. I use YT to skim through videos of product reviews just to get an up close look at the item I'm looking to purchase and see if maybe there are any pitfalls I need to know about.

I don't have the patience for watching full reviews. Usually 50+% of the content is worthless. Like I really need to see what the package or the QC card looks like or watch someone "unbox" it all lol

i'm a patreon of vic's (a lower tier than i used to be) and do feel bad for him. he's guilty of probably putting too many eggs in a single basket though.
i don't fb. i won't be using the bit whatever thing. i therefore won't see any content created by him (assuming his ban isn't lifted). i won't, as a result, continue to be a patreon supporter.

Interesting. Why not? Bit Chute's just another free video site like youtube. No registration or payment needed to watch videos.
i've been registered with bit chute for a few months but it just doesn't gel with me. their 'peer-to-peer' model doesn't hold water for me either. each to their own etc.

I do watch certain reviewers, to keep an eye out for interesting products, or to learn new techniques, or even for the entertainment alone. I didn't know any vapers starting out...I learned how to coil by watching YouTube videos, and about cartos and rda's and juice mixing...from both YouTube and ECF. I like Vic. He's got spunk. Just hate to see his channel get wiped out by anonymous bot algorithm s because vaping is politically incorrect in our growing nanny-state. Who's next? Grimm Green? Flat Cap Vaper? DJLsb? Sure, YouTube will do whatever it wants to please it's advertisers, it's their platform. Crappy way it's going about it though. I feel really bad for the really good content creators who put so much time in to help us learn about vaping, only to have years of videos deleted in one stroke.

Youtube/Google censorship is no different than the nazi book burnings...we need to fight these silicon valley censors unless they take all of our free speech away on the internet.
I don't think that's correct. Just like ECF, they get to decide what's allowed on their platform; i.e, who gets to stand on and speak from the soapbox they built. If a person is unwilling or unable to abide by their rules, there are alternatives. Having a publisher refuse to publish your book is not the same as having the government burn all the books you wrote and threaten to imprison anyone who does publish them. Getting banned from ECF or YT does not mean you can't speak freely on the internet.

Don't forget Youtube (owned by Google), and others are protected by the government, because they don't create the content. When they start censoring anything, they should no longer be protected. Read about Section 230. They've crossed the line by quite a bit, some time ago, and should no longer qualify for protection. This is really the bigger issue.

Vic stated (not sure if true, didn't check) that a recent court ruling (Prager U vs Youtube?) sided with Google/youtube - they do not have to allow free speech because they are not a public utility or anything of the sort.
