I view APV's like firearms. Hold your anger for a sec. A firearm is useless without a user. An APV is also useless without a user. If you're careless with either, bad things (obviously to extremely different degrees) can happen. You wouldn't want the wrong person to have either one. If you take care in where and how you use/store your APV the lock shouldn't really be necessary. But, in the real world, some people need all the help they can get. Logically it would give the FDA a little bit of assurance that we, as vapers, are trying to head in the right direction. Logic isn't their strong suit. I'm afraid this would be just another thing to break on an already expensive
device. Also, where's this technology on analogs? Oh wait, those aren't a danger to anyone. Argh!
