I don't need to double tap, but it does take a bit longer for it to fire when waking from sleep mode.

This is what it says for shipment of my flask on 17track.net...sounds bad like I'm not getting my flask anytime soon
The grain of the black is why I wanted another one. My black flask has like a coating on it which hides the grain, but it absolutely doesn't pick up finger prints hardly at all either.Got my silver Waidea today & the anodizing on the chassis is a lot thicker than it was on the black one. Almost looks slightly blotchy in some spots & really hides the chassis brushed grain. Sure I can rub out the blotchiness with some polish but I'm a little surprised. Thicker anodizing isn't a bad thing, it just doesn't have the defined grain like my black one does. Works fine though.
Does anyone know of any pictures of the authentic vapor flask opened? I'm curious to see the inside of a genuine for comparison.???
I read a review made 4-10 that now the Waidea fires immediately from sleep- this right? Or did it always?
It's that grounding issue again. When I first got mine, it was pre-heating as high as 35w on a 20w setting. Then I popped the cover and it mostly stopped with the preheat, then started firing at low wattages very soon into a hit, and then progressed to the dim display firing, and then weak battery. Sometimes, playing with the USB port or resetting it by unscrewing the battery caps, or running with a single very fresh battery would get it working properly for a few minutes. I suspect all that a reset was doing was cleaning some oxidation/anodizing off the battery caps, and putting some pressure on the top plate making a better ground for a short period. USB charging gave it another ground path.
Once I did that top plate clean-up and torque, it started working great again, preheat on a cold/cool coil, voltage staying in the high teens/twenties while drawing, etc.
Interesting that that same person is placing reviews under all the Waidea flask listings and claiming that the Kangxin has a 4 hour vaping life in temp mode. Me thinks his reviews should be taken with a grain of salt.
Don't you mean wattage is staying in teens and twenty's?
Agreed! I get a lot more than 4 hours on a charge with my Kangxin! I only charged mine every 2 days when I was using it exclusively during the "Honeymoon Period".I would think battery life would be about the same with both brands when used at the same settings ect.
Agreed. I would hope he could discern "immediate" from a 1 sec. delay- but no guarantees with him it would seem.Interesting that that same person is placing reviews under all the Waidea flask listings and claiming that the Kangxin has a 4 hour vaping life in temp mode.
