I ordered the flask on 2/8 and ordered a praxis clone from fasttech on 2/12, fours days later.

Praxis will be here tomorrow as tracking says it just showed up at my post office tonight. Kind of frustrating as Im wanting the flask more but at least I'll have something to hold me over I guess.

Me thinks the hold up in customs is just the USA hiring itinerant wannabe American immigrant labor. I just ordered from fasttech and it is to go fast track to USPS in China.......When I get the delivery, I may still be young. LMAO just trying different shipping out of China. Things are a turning quickly. Imagine hand sorting this mail. Even Amazon is getting heat for pushing human packagers too far. Watch an amazon packing video.. You don't want your kids there. This video says Amazon is an excellent prison program. It teaches being on time and being exact. Low level intelligence individuals are not made fun of. A place is there for them if they are quick with their hands and not in a pick pocket manner. Support is given at every step of the package arrival as it travels to individuals in the world that would send it astray.

Very surprising nothing has shaken loose yet. I was convinced they had Hangers full of prepacked LD3 containers at ems airport facilities throughout china ready for all the scheduled flights during CNY before they went on vacation, but even if the hangers only had 1 door and nothing was rotated, something should have made it through New York ISC by now. I'm flabbergasted that a package shipped over a month ago stil hasn't emerged from the system.

Using the China Post EMS tracking you suggest others use, I see the following:

"Parcel has been shipped from country of shipper."

Does that mean it has left China?

Probably not, since Kangxin has been on holiday as well. It'll be all they can do to fill back-orders with the current version, doubt they'll spend much time or effort doing revisions unless there's some major fault that needs corrected, and so far the worst we've seen is one DOA, one garbled screen, and a handful of people needing to adjust the battery connections.

In about a week, we're going to start seeing a lot more DNA40 clones in different form factors (cloned and new designs) show up, so Kangxin needs (from their perspective) to crank these things out as fast as possible before the distributor orders start dropping off due to increased choices.

I think Fasttech still has some stock if you want to go that route, btw.

wow! Not only VF, the hana modz da40 clones are gone as well. The DNA40 dropdown on the homepage has been deleted although the banner ads are still there as of 2 minutes ago..

An embarrassment of riches...second came today. Seems to be a different manufacture. This one is from focalecig. Ordered on 1/29 and arrived today.

I prefer the one stocked by focalecig as it has brass fittings, no anodizing on the threads and appears to connect the second battery better (I am taking the first one apart tomorrow to verify the wiring).

Though the second one is attracting a lot of "wife agro".

The second one is just one of the random batch of brass fittings instead of copper-colored ones, both are from Kangxin, the second is from the last batch produced before CNY, and benefits from some production upgrades, along with the addition of the USB port.

I can tell from your pic it's for sure a Kangxin unit by how high they placed the USB port.

OK...it is improved...the display is twice as bright as well and a few other items have been addressed.

I plan on draining the batteries and seeing what kind out output the charger has...anyone know?

OK...hold the phone...new version will not show "temperature protection"...it just holds it. It must be a newer firmware on the chip...working on a video.

To whit...Same wattage, same temp setting (420) same atty, same batteries etc, each hits temp, but the black mod shows the msg, the silver just shows it throttling to hold temp:


IMHO this is a different firmware on the chip...and an improved one.

which color between black & silver is better manufactured as far as paint, etc.? - and does it matter whether we order from focal or 3FVape? - the latter seems to charge $5 more for USB charging model.
