Thanks guys! TBH, I went back to analogs after two years of vaping due to multiple reasons :( And while I was trying to pick up the good habit again my DNA20 died... Anyway, I hope that the VF and ST-Mini will get me back on track lol. So far, I have this in the mail:

VaporFlask V3 Clone
Subtank Mini
100' Ni200 28 gauge wire

Tomorrow I will go pickup some Koh Gen Do :p. Now, what batteries should I get for this mod? Will these do?

I've been away for a while and there is so much content to catch up on...

I ordered 100' of 28, 30 and 32 from lightning and am very happy with the service. Shipped very fast with good communication leading up to shipping with a tracking number to Canada. Shipping was very reasonable $6-$7. Like most people online I highly recommend them.

I should buy from you then LOL

So what's your experience with the different wire thickness? I did some research and it seems that 28 is easier to work with. Any advice is welcome :)

    28 and/or 30 should do ya.
I have a roll of 32 that is useless (for me), even twisted is a pain.
If they get more in stock, tempered is also easy to work with:

    Right behind you...
BTW, I wasn't a fan of the Kayfun 4, but after watching the video below, this thing is working EXCELLENT with temp control.

It's almost ALL about the wicking with a good TC build (well, coils still matter, but if you're having problems with temp protect kicking in early and often, or not getting good flavor, etc, chances are its your wick).

Twisted 30g, 10 spaced wraps on a #6 screw, 0.19 ohm, KGD wick, and the K4 has the 4S larger airflow tube. Running at 450f and 25 watts. Flavor for days (after about 2 seconds), and it's actually a warmish vape, warmer than say an Atlantis at 25w.

Watch this video, it's applicable to almost any tank build as far as prepping your wick goes. Looks fiddly, but once you do it, it goes fast, about 5 minutes or less, and so so so worth the effort.

Hey all on the fence on this mod. I had the chance to try the authentic but want the clone. What is everyone's opinion on the new one listed on 3fvape with the stainless 510. I'm not a fan of copper. Brass would be OK but they ship randomly. I have a stillare a hobo v1 and a sub tank mini that will attempt on it. Please let me what ya think.

You would purchase it if you like the form factor and the fact it has 2 x 18650 batteries giving long life between recharges. You would purchase it you wanted a more economical alternative to learn about temp controlled devices.

If you use the temp control in the device you have to build coils from Ni200 nickel wire and the coil will be "sub-ohm" because the wire has a very low resistance. You can still vape at 15W on this coil however, or vape at 15W (for example) on a 1.5 ohm kanthal coil without temp control.

If you don't want temp control or the form factor, an istick 30W would be a low-risk purchase in comparison.

Just an FYI for those like me who wondered what happened to their orders at 3fvape. I ordered my Vapor Flask back on 2/13 and until today it only had shown "payment received". I had tried to get an update on my order status by contacting them on my 3fvape account page, but had not gotten any response. Yesterday, I tried again by sending an email to them directly to service@3fvape.com. As of this morning, I have received 3 emails from them. The first saying:

Sorry for your delay, we having problems with our website.
According to the update from the factory, all our Vapor Flask orders will ship out soon or on next week.
For sorry, we will update your parcel to ePacket for free. thanks for your patience,
    Regards,
    Kate

The 2nd email indicated that my order had been shipped and the 3rd email provided a tracking number. My order also shows as shipped on my account page now. So if anyone else is having problems communicating with 3fvape via their website, you might want to try sending them an email directly.

    Thx to all.

AFAIK it's brass with copper plating for SKU 1660 and similar which ships randomly. The new VF listed in 3FV is a bit shady and no one knows exactly what's it like inside or how it performs. The deal breaker for me is the fixed 510 pin, that's why I went with the 1660.

Howdy all. I'm interested in this mod and a KF4 clone from infinite. My question is this: I don't use sub-ohm builds. Is there any reason to actually purchase this gizmo for use around 15 watts? Just curious. Most comments that I have read seem to revolve around sub-ohm builds. Thanks for any advice.

Like Ian said, with the addition that the Kayfun 4 apparently isn't the ideal choice if you want to use ni200 coils. The spring in the KF4 510 connector can mess with the resistance reading.
