hey guys, i know there is a huge ... long post about nickel wires, but its like over 100 pages long.
i just received my UD goblin, very similar to silverplay, (tank, must be dual coil). i was thinking of doing 28g dual coil on my goblin.
now i m hearing dual coil on nickel is not that good. Can anyone test this out for me?

I use duals in my Fogger V4.1 all the time. The only problem is the room in your Goblin. You may have to use 30 Ga to get it to fit.

If you try to build a 28 Ga coil @ 0.3 ohms it will be a very big coil. With 30 Ga. I can just get two coils in my Fogger for a total resistance of 0.15 ohms.

the shipping times from 3F can be crazy! mine shipped jan 22 and it just hit my city yesterday. to bad I wont be home for another week and a half to check it out.... it should have arrived before I left on vacation on feb 13. ohwell, atleast it FINALLY made it...

Glad to hear it finally came through but I can hardly blame 3FVape for Shenzhen EMS abysmal handling of their duties during CNY.

I'm about to pull the trigger on #2806 (v3 w/ SS 510) b/c it's the only model not listed as "ships randomly".

I'd really prefer the VShark, but it's still in pre-order, & I find my trust a little lean on Chinese pre-orders

Goggling at world from my iPhone
Don't do it.
Referring to part number 2806 or the VS? I was also looking at the stainless steel 510 models @ 3fvape. I realize the 510 isn't adjustable but in the case of temp protection I'm thinking that would be preferable from a conductivity standpoint, to a spring loaded 510. At least that's the opinion of some who have posted on other threads. All that aside, are the vapor flask clones at 3f known to be no good?

Cobalt, referring to the #2806 Flask with stainless 510 connector, it's not adjustable at all. It requires all of your attys to be adjustable, or you'll either have to live with no connection on some attys, and gaps on others.

#1659-1662 are all known good Kangxin flasks with the latest KX-40D board, which functions as intended, with a couple minor issues (about a half-second ramp up delay when firing in nickel mode, doesn't stay locked after it goes to deep sleep). Getting a USB version pretty much guarantees the latest board revision from the end of January, if not newer. All of these have screw-adjustable 510 connectors, in either brass, or copper plated brass, and they have a non-brushed anodized finish, kind of like a MVP or iStick, but with a nicer satin texture..

#2095, #2101, and #2184 are also Kangxin flasks, sans USB charging, and should be functionally and cosmetically the same as the USB version. There may be some chance that these are old, first-revision late December stock and have the older board with a delay on firing from sleep. Though it's doubtful it's old stock now, pretty sure all of the units were sold out during the CNY break.

Avoid #2806 for now unless you like gambling. It does look more like a real Flask in regards to the buttons, finish, USB port and the 510 connector, but nobody knows how good the board is, there's that fixed center pin, and the company making it, Waidea, has been feeding a line of bullcrap about their version since last year. It could be an excellent device, but we really don't know that yet.

Thanks! Trying to sort through the bs and misinformation with the various clone boards- and even the Evolv boards for that matter- has given me a massive headache. To the point that I'm seriously questioning the efficacy of TC as it relates to the way I personally vape. I do not have a problem with dry hits, mainly because I rarely drip and I use clear tanks. And I mostly use no more than 12-14 watts. Pretty sure I'm going to just lay back and give the technology a few more months to see what shakes out.

Well, I agree on most parts like vaping at 15W and not needing full power and even on the dry hits but are you perfect? I mean, my latest wick will be a month old tomorrow meaning I have been careful with juice levels but even I know that sooner or later I'm going to forget or become distracted in the middle of the night and suddently... Bam. I ruined my wick and have to rewick. If for nothing else, I love to be chuck away on my atty until suddently there is no more vapor.

The rest is a big headache, you're right.

Tony

Cobalt327, in your situation, TC may not have much to offer at this stage of its development. But, TC *needs* early adopters to help us all find out the potential benefits of TC and find out where it will lead to.

The vapor flask that is the subject of this thread though does appear to be good value even if you just used it for kanthal toppers - 2 batteries and an ergonomic design with a reasonable build quality at this price is surely attractive to many :) Plus the option to try TC of course!

I just hope that the new stock of #1659-1662 that's shipping "next week" from 3FV is as good as the ones you peeps got already :)

I don't see why it wouldn't be. I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be a bit better given how well Kangxin has responded to issues so far. Plus I'm sure they're motivated to keep being the top selling Flask clone, and they can't do that by resting on their laurels.
