Vapor Flask DNA 40 Style Upgraded Version Variable Wattage Mod - Silver, 1~40W, 2x18650, Micro USB Charger, Temperature Control - 3FVape

I ordered the 1659 model 3 days ago, and it's still showing as payment accepted. I messaged their support and recieved the following message -

"We are waiting the Vapor Flask supplier confirm the final delivery date to us.
From information we had now, it will take about five days.
thanks for your asking, Kate"

Looks like Imight be in for a bit of a wait...

I ordered 1660 on 25th Feb and still showing payment accepted. They said they were expecting shipment tomorrow but looks like that has gone down the tube...I would change to 2806 but the fixed pin 510 is a real deal breaker imho!

Is pulling the pin that much of a pain? Does pulling and pushing the pin put stress on the connector, eventually leading to a broken connector or something? Wasn't fixed pins everywhere like a year or two ago? (I know, a year equals 10 years in the vape world) Why does everyone hate fixed pins so much?

not sure what you mean. Pin is fixed - no push or pull afaik. If your atty doesn't make a good contact, you are screwed unless the atty 510 is adjustable. Or am I wrong?

During my early days of Vaping 101 cram sessions, I saw a video in recommendations talking about fixing a 510 on a ego. Would this technique work on a flask?

That would depend entirely on how the 510 on the flask is constructed. In any case, that'll most likely wear the connection quite a lot, and while that may be ok with an EGO with a limit lifetime it may not be as much on a flask.

No, you're right.

That said, some notable popular mods don't have adjustable 510 connectors, the well-regarded Innokin MVP 1.0/2.0 among them.

Yes, but even the MVP 2.0 is 18 months old. That is an eternity in vape years.... it's like dog years.

My thoughts on this, is if it so easily could be pulled up, then it's likely that it can be just as easily pushed back down. If you're using multiple attys with different center pin lengths you're going to end up accidentally pushing it back down, then have to pull it back up. Each time it goes up and down it's just going to get looser and looser in there to the point where sneezing on it will push it back down again. Just my :2c:

On a related note, I loved that guys accent. Listening to him talk was cracking me up.

I simply installed a couple batteries and the atty that I was using on my rDNA 40 and continued vaping.
No charge light?
This one has the copper colored plugs.
Edit: Just want to add that the standing resistance on the atty was the same on both the VF clone and Evolv DNA 40 equipped rDNA 40, 0.13Ω

First congrats on receiving! Your wait is over!

Charging indication & level via USB is shown via animation on the display when the unit is awake. Not ideal, but it is all you got.

Nice cat :)

Congrats on the mod too ;)

Sent from my keyboard through my phone or something like that.

That cat is 15 years old, pretty good shape overall but in the last 6 month or so cost me around $1800 at the vet. Paid almost $900 to get one fang pulled (big infection)
He was a homeless cat at work till I took him home about 8.5 years ago.
Flask clone, KX whatever brand, seems to work as it's suppose to.

And I bet you didn't think twice when you paid the bill. :)

Ya, that's pretty much how it went.
The wife made a lot of noise about it though, she wanted to take the cash to the casino to make a deposit (I mean flush in down their toilet)
The wife also is eyeing my flask, no way

Hmmmm

Next time she has a dentist appointment, fake an argument with your cat that she needs to go to the dentist and pretend the cat rather wants to burn the money at the casino... I'm pretty sure you and your cat will have a blast and maybe she'll think twice next time. :D
