I still cannot get mine to say "temperature protected" and I have taken the temp setting down in steps firing it without drawing on it all the way to 200F. It never exceeded the temp setting with this wet atty. It will say "Hello" though.
It's been working just great so far.

They recently updated the firmware on the new units to suppress the Temperature Protection Message.

Pretty much what i figured but was only guessing.
If hcigar is paying $45 for the Evolv boards and these boards are probably less expensive, well just wandering why they went that route. I have one on order, I wish now that I didn't. I guess I could sell it or something. Oh, I know I'll give it to my wife.

I very much doubt that hcigar is paying anything close to $45 for an Evolv board. You can get them in co-ops for that and I strongly suspect Hcigar bought more units... :)

A couple of hours ago I ordered a couple of batteries for my VFc, didn't pay enough attention and ordered button tops (nipple tops), they are 66.5 mm long.
I sent an email about exchanging them for flat tops, I hope they read their emails before they do their shipping. I kind of don't really need any more batteries but for sure I don't need more button tops.
They switched them for me, a great place is Orbtronics.

I placed an order with 3FVape on Feb. 20. I inquired yesterday as to the status of my order. I received the following correspondence...


We are feeling quite sorry for your question, the supplier delay the stock delivery time again to us.

We are feeling angry which same as you, but we still need working with them and solve this problem.

From information we had now, they said they need additional five working days for delivery our Vapor Flask order.

It's been working just great so far.

Seems like there has to be a fairly large delta between set wattage and actual wattage to get the TP message to display.

Well, that's your call, but I'm certain 3FVape is feeding you the straight scoop, there's just a lot of demand for these things now. Doubt you'd get one any faster from FT or Focal, etc. Another option would be to switch to the other version if you can live with the 510 connector.

This video has now gone private! LOL! Vulgar Vape Dude to be exact. His vast command and eloquence of the English language was quite evident for sure.
I watched this video when it was still accessible on YouTube, I lost track of the expletives about three minutes in. "F" this or that, "MF" this and that. So on and so forth.
The net result for me was that it reminded me of: I am unable to really express what I think so I'll just curse more to get my point across.

Perhaps "Doris" at Focalecig complained to YouTube about it, he certainly flamed her to the max. Maybe some folks who watched it.
I do know that giving a poor or bad review of a product and related customer service is able to be done without the inclusion of expletives.

I took the review with a grain of salt since apparently this reviewer may have not done all of homework regarding how to initially setup the device.

Seems to be a lot of confusion and controversy regarding the Vapor Flask V3 clone, hopefully this will be resolved soon.

I do empathize with the reviewer regarding responses from Doris about the warranty situation, if it truly is a hardware issue.

This is a verbatim copy of the Focalecig product warranty statement on their website:

1. Non-human causes of product problems, we will be committed to 6 months warranty( Drip tip, atomizers excluded), you need to pay the freight.

A little pricey for this particular cell but they have them. One doesn't need be concerned with getting a fake one from these folks.

I like the PDs but for me they don't perform as well as higher cdr batteries. They don't last quite as long as e.g. LG he2s, even with their higher mAh rating.

Im in the same boat (ordered 25th february). Stock was supposed to arrive today but she sad earlier in the wee that another 5 days would be needed. I somehow doubt she really knows when Sunlay will come up with the goods!

I think I will hang in there and try to forget about it until it turns up...I ordered a bunch of dripper clones last sunday which were supposed to ship in 24 hours and they haven't moved yet..aaaaaarrrrrgggghhhh!

Pretty happy so far!
Great finish,both tubes work as they should,fires from sleep with no delay.
Next check will be with some ni 200 when I get hold of some...
So far enjoying it in "canthal" mode!!
Well worth the wait guys....!

Tend to believe Focal does not feel quite as obligated to service that warrantee on products provided to reviewers free of charge for review purposes & I'm willing to bet that's half of what was going on there. I think he was seeking repair for battery issue Got ...... when they said no & he wanted to show his pee pee was bigger than they thought & bet the dry burn was rigged as part of that "display of force".

No way He laid out his own money for a Red Flask - Camo....Maybe.

I remember the battery issue, he stated at one point that he had adjusted the internal battery post which IMHO may have caused the battery issues to begin.
I think he adjusted the post because he wanted the brass battery covers to be more flush at the bottom. He may have caused an internal break in the wiring.
Just speculation on my part. Did he state he received the VF3 clone for a review? I can't remember.

I took a look at them screws earlier this morning when I figured out that I had ordered nipple top batteries and deemed them not adjustable. They are only about 1 mm off the case and I needed 1.5 mm so even if they screwed in it wouldn't have been enough.
