Now, hands up who among us had "to save money" as one of the reasons we started vaping?

I haven't even got my Waidea yet and I'm fighting off the urge to order the ipv4 as well, because it's "only" £60. I've only been vaping 7 weeks and I seriously daren't add up all the purchases I've made already..

Haha, yeah, that saving money thing doesn't really work out when you constantly buy new mods/attys. Every time I tell myself I have enough / don't need anything new a week later I order something new. Haha.

I need to sell some stuff off probably.

On a happy note I recieved confirmation this morning that focalecig shipped my Waidea Time silver VF clone this morning, hope DHL is quicker than EMS
I hate ording from China, I'm not a very patient person when it comes to vapemail

I got my notification last night, I just chose the free shipping option, I guess EMS?

We can compare which is faster by whoever gets theirs first, heh. I'm guessing DHL.

I am with you guys. I reckon I have spent about what I have saved, maybe a little more and I really dont care too much. Acrually thinking of getting a waidea anyway! I have accumulated 14 drippers thus far along with 6 tanks so a few spare mods to go with the istick 50, CF subohm, cloupor mini and Kangxin...oh and the SX mini which will be here tomorrow apparently..would seem to be appropriate...haha

Glad Im not the only one...

Woo, after a 4 day radio silence (no big surprise given the Eastern long weekend), Royal Mail is now tracking my parcel!

So far I just have this:

07/04/15 13:28 RECEIVED IN UK HEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC

And the status is: Status: Please come back later.

(But that Status part may be referring specifically to the proof of delivery, not general transit status.)

Now I have no idea if that means it's already cleared customs or not? "Received in UK" could be literal; that it's only had its entry scan and now customs awaits. Or maybe Royal Mail only "receive" it once customs have handed it over to them.

Steve, any idea??

Anyway I am pleased to see that contrary to my first understanding of the RM track status, I will get UK-side tracking info.

Once my wife got snippy when I told her a wanted a new device. It was my Vaporshark in fact. It was $198. I said look, this is the most expensive device I've ever bought. Most have been under $100, and I get a new one every 3-4 months. I said, I can buy a new Vaporshark rDNA every month and *still* spend less money than I was on cigarettes. Now quit yer .....in!

My Kangxin V3 flask is working fine. The power button's silver finish is wearing through though, starting to show the actual brass construction underneath.

I am not going to spend anymore money on these clones for the time being. It works well, and seems to be alright except for the loose 510 center pin issue which I fixed with a couple of very small 0-rings and the button's finish.

I will wait for the Pioneer4You iPV4 MOD with the Yihi SX330 chipset. I currently own a iPV Mini 30 which is working great, fit and finish are top-notch and the 510 connection is solid stainless steel.

I will also assess any reviews upcoming on the iPV4 MOD, apparently nearly all vendors right now are showing an anticipated ship date of 4-10.

I take it some of the clones have issues. however I kind of do not think the real thing was the best use of $300. I would think for $100 they could make a true 1:1 clone of this. it was not perfect. not nearly perfect. for $300 you would expect it. hana can do it for less. apparently easier to copy too unfortunately. I mean things are not falling off of it. no. it should not be very hard to make a clone without things falling off either i'd gather. I don't understand how things like sx mini,istick,ipv are all fine quality but the clones are often lacking. I got someone a clone because they asked for it. it is not great but honestly it was more worth $69 than $300 of the real deal. ymmv because a lot of people love both. I am just saying a scratch for $69 is expected. it is not for $300. I hate rip-offs personally but if they made these clones safe and sound I would have gone that way to begin with. geez, I hate to say that. that is honestly just my opinion though.

just a general thought but Ive been sat here vaping on my new favourite RDA which is a fantastic 454 big-block clone by Cigreen (no I don't work for Cigreen lol). Its a Kanthal build (you know the old stuff), dual 28g etc etc and it vapes like a vapy thing. I love it...but...im watching stuff on tv etc and I'm not paying attention right! Cos Ive been messing round with the VF clone...you know where Im going. So I have had three or four near dry hits in one evening. Unheard of. I know when the dripper needs dripping before I get the 'monkey ...' hit. But I'm soft now because Im relying on the mod to stop me doing that. But Its a stick 50w bless it so it doesn't know!
