You can almost always count on Chinese mods with clone boards to just copy and paste Evolv's spec sheet, so don't get too, um, pre-heated just yet.
It allegedly has spring-loaded 510.....so why havent they put that in the VF??

Anyone got experience of emailing FC and could say if they tend to respond to pre-sales enquiries in minutes, days or hours? It might be too late today already though (7.30pm in China)

A huge number of the VF alibaba's claimed spring loaded 510 so I would take that with a huge pinch of salt. As croak said, a lot of it was copypasta from the original specs

Production tooling already done, and clearance is very very very tight in there between the 510 and the battery positive wiring, and maybe nobody in China is making a spring loaded 510 for general sale that's as compact in length as a Varitube or FDV at the moment.
Plus I think Waidea was telling the truth about there being more issues with that board and spring loaded 510 connectors.

Take a look at the Heatvape Invader Mini mate. I suspect it's a better-built device, and it has that whole unique rubber cladding and water resistance thing going on, and a very slick solution to not having a spring loaded 510.

That Heatvape is performing a bit better in several ways than my Waidea at least - for example, after "New Coil Up" it detects resistance immediately, rather than requiring a tap on fire. I like that. Doesn't mean it's not the same base board of course, that may well be an advance in the later revision that took it to 50W.
And it also auto detected the non-Nickel coil, turning off TC immediately, where my Waidea - as I mentioned a day or so ago - will vape as if in TC mode on a kanthal coil before it notices a second later.
This version in the Heatvape is performing much more like the original, in other words.

Or maybe there's two companies out there - Kangxin made one clone, which they're now sharing with Heatvape (white labelled), hence both now having 50W

Didn't say it was spring loaded, said the way they handle the adjustment with a fixed pin is pretty slick, something you see on mech mods but not often if ever on a regulated.
I am going to have a go for the Invader Mini/ That was always my plan. I agree that the specs are just cut-and-paste. The Spring-loaded 510 makes no sense. I doubt the Heatvape would have a sprung 510 anyway since it would compromise the water-resistance of the unit.

Ah sorry, misread. Yes it does look like a good device, and the 510 adjustment is great. I've also always wanted a properly waterproof mod, for juice leaks.
My main worry is those rubberised buttons - necessary for waterproof, but they look rather spongy and untactile. That said, that reviewer didn't mention that as a problem.

Despite ordering my Waidea VF V3 from Focalecig US warehouse on April 6, I haven't received any shipping notice despite being advised it would ship April 10 or April 13. Has anyone received any shipping notification for this most recent batch yet? Tired of waiting on this AND the ipv4 - get your .... together China!

From all reports on Heatvapes other products, they build things better than Kangxin has shown us. And it's tactile switches under that rubber, so they shouldn't be spongy as such.

Looks like redjuice will have the Heatvape end of this week/early next - £49 or so with free delivery! Its £44 from 3Avape plus some shipping so no point in going the China route on this one!
ps. ots not waterproof - IPX4 only which is splashproof-plus as far as I can tell...
Yeah, I am tempted. A rugged mod has a lot of advantages, could be my go-to mod for anywhere outside the house.

Yeah not water proof, water resistant it's meant to be. Hence no USB port (which is a cop-out, they can do waterproof USB ports, Sony phones have them. Though admittedly maybe not for this low price.
Are you saying the IPV4 is also splash proof / water resistant?
IPX4 is a standard for waterproofing apparently...lol! Doubt the ipv4 is waterproof!!!
Samsung makes good batteries. The LG HE4 is highly recommended for the type of vaping offered by the Vapor Flask, whether genuine or clone.
I use the LG HE4 and they last 24 hours or so for me. I vape about 5-8 ml within that time frame.
NEVER EVER buy batteries from overseas. There are a lot of restrictions on them and such. Just buy your batteries locally and save yourself time and grief.
