Thanks for the quick reply. Annoyingly I cannot find Waidea over here and the only 60w clone available doesn't list the manufacturer. May consider ordering overseas, but factoring in the customs charge, it can get pricey.
There's a UK vendor that sells a SXK case with an Evolv DNA40 installed, maybe someone can post a link.

I have a Kangxin and even though it's a good mod that I use every day, I wouldn't recommend it as the 510 goes wobbly within a few months. The SXK is the way to go, but I would get the silver as the black can have gunky threads which are a pain to clean.

The silver can have gunky threads too, trust me. It's just harder to see the gunk and makes it more of a pain to clean. :)

Naw, I'm not at Bloke's level of mod collection, by a long shot.

Just really like the Flask design, got a Kangxin, it went bad, got a free Waidea as a replacement, fixed the Kangxin, then bought an SXK 50w to fiddle with the TCR, then picked up a cheap cheap cheap used genuine black 2.1 with a broken display that I fixed.

The Waidea and my genuine VF are still in daily rotation. The other two are back in their boxes. Build quality trumps.

I have tried reading as much as I can, but this thread is epically long!

I am in the uk and can only really get the Kangxin 40w clone. Is it generally recommended to not get this version?

Yes I know, the answer is here, but you try reading over 200 pages...

Thanks all.

i live in the UK too and i got my 60w sxk from gearbest, took a while to arrive but thats where id suggest you look

Is it still worth it to get the SXK flask? 60w seems a far cry from the newer TC mods these days

yeah for sure 60w is still good, im loving mine! infact hardly used tc mode and been running dual claptons most of the time on mine. plus if i really want more power iv got a mech tube and an 8v series mech box, waiting on a vaporshark 200 too. my sxk 60w is tiding me over nicely while i wait for delivery

So any opinions on the "Vapor flask Squonk edition" on gearbest? Is it as good as the normal vapor flask clones?
I understand there are two makers of the sqounk flask, Yiloong and Waidea. I haven't seen any reviews on either. However since owning two Waidea's, one silver with an upgraded FDV V3 510 and one black with an evolv 40 and FDV V4 core (kept stock outer 510 and installed spring loaded guts), and given the fit and finish, I'd go with the Waidea sqounk.

How do I know which one it is?

Yeah definitely. My Waidea is now very much part of my daily use. I didn't use it for a long time, a couple or months or so. At the time I only had a couple of tanks on the go at a time, and every time I thought of using it I'd find I'd get "Check Atomizer" because the pins wouldn't touch. Then usually if I adjusted the pin on the atomizer, I got way too high resistance.

Then a month or so ago I started buying lots more tanks, and got all my good tanks built at the same time. Now I use all my mods all the time, with different flavours in each, and because I have a lot more tanks on the go I can always find one that will work with the Waidea. Right now it's my SXK Squape Rs clone which has a massive, protruding 510 pin after I replaced the stock positive pin with a countersunk M3x16mm brass screw.

I have to say that in terms of appearance and feel, I prefer it to the SXK. The matte finish just feels nicer. I also prefer the Rayn chip in this Waidea to the one in my two Kangxin Mini VFs - they both have a mild annoyance with the Kanthal/TC detection. After sleep they always revert to being in Kanthal/non-TC mode. If I just pick them up and hold fire, it will almost always fire as a VW vape. So I have a procedure now where I pick them up, then tap three or four times: once to wake up, then two or three short fires which is what it usually takes to realise the coil is TC and show 300°F instead of X volts. To be fair to them they were expecting Ni200 and therefore a quicker resistance ramp up. But I don't have to do that in my Waidea, which is always in TC mode on wake up (or restart, as it should really be called.)

So although my Waidea is now just one of many mods, I'm definitely glad I got it. Oh, and it provides a convenient home for my two button-top AW 18650s that don't fit in many of my other mods :)

Sorry, but I never heard about the TC/VW issue after sleep. The KX50D is my most used TC mod. I used it with Titanium, Nickel and NiFe70 and it stayed always in TC mode. But I don`t use it in VW mode - just tested it twice. Maybe there was a buggy series. Did you get them at the same time?

Here in Germany are many VF Minis around, but I never read about your issue, strange. I like it very much. It gives me the best vape of all my TC mods ( Ni200 + NiFe30 +Titanium only ) . I think the reason why I don`t use the Waidea very often is the firing delay. I also haven`t added the second ground connection. But I don`t care what I don`t use today, maybe tomorrow it`s my preferred mod.

I would like to know what`s the reason for your KX50D issue - I have 2 new ones in my EU prohibition storage, which I have tested only half a day. I´ll test them.

Edit: Now I´ve read it :) , I´ll ask in Germany if somebody had the same issue.

Hi guys. I need help. I just got my vapor flask from Waidea from 3fvape.
It has a spring loaded 510.
But it auto fires when I have batteries installed(yes they are correctly installed, have tried with 1 battery and 2 batteries)

It doesn't read any ohms, it just auto fires when I screw the atomiser down. It feels like it bypasses the switch and just auto fires. I have opened the top but everything seems normal.

Email 3FVape about the issue - They may require a video - Do not tell them you pulled top cover - They should take care of you.

Glad to hear Waidea finally used a floating 510. Sorry you got a bad unit.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I did send them a messaged and they are going to take care of it.
But if it is fixable then that would be better. I don't understand why this is happening

Did they ask you to send it back?

May be a stuck fire switch or a short to the 510, but I think there is a problem with the board. Run over the contacts with a multimeter just to confirm the fire circuit is the culprit. You will have to touch top of flask to body to complete circuit to batteries (hence the sparking you saw earlier.
