Earlier this week, I got my first ecig, a DSE901 and was very impressed. But within several days, I started having problems with one of the batteries, soon both batteries and then the atomizer gave up the ghost. The vendor stood behind his product (Steve at PureSmoker, who was true to his word) and promised to send me a replacement as soon as he got the defective parts back. Which is great, but I was three days without analogs at this stage and the thought of the waiting for the mail to send the parts there and get them back made my eyeballs twitchy as I had already promised the wife that I was done with analogs.
Worse, I had ordered a spare atomizer and some carts and juice and they were all sitting there mocking me. I had two thirds of an e-cigarette in front of me. Which is analogous to having a full pack of smokes and nothing to light them with. We've all been there, you KNOW the horror.
Enter the Vapor Guys. Of all the suppliers that advertise on the web, these were the only guys to publish a phone number and actually answer that phone. I spoke to Kurt who, while probably sick of answering a bunch vapid questions from me, was patient enough to answer them and explain that I could use my atomizer with his gear and explained how I could get it shipped quickly.
I was a bit vulnerable at this point - I had made that promise, you see, and any amount of money would have been worth not having to admit failure to the wife. If I had come home last night covered in blood with an axe and a duffel bag full of heads, her first question would have been : "Did you smoke while killing all these people?" You see my dilemma.
But the Vapor Guys rates were more than reasonable (there is an outfit out there that advertised overnight at a rate of 54USD - I was vulnerable, but not an idiot, well, not a complete one anyway). And although that phone call happened between 5 and 5:30pm ET yesterday, I am now puffing away at a mini from the Vapor Guys, 17 hours later. That's impressive.
A phone number advertises a whole different level of commitment to customer service and these guys followed through on that commitment. I can't say enough about how that human contact gave me the confidence to ask the questions I needed to and to really understand what I was buying and how to get it. I heartily recommend these guys, especially to noobs like me. Check them out.
