im running a .3-.4 ohm dual 26g coil build on my nimbus. Previously ive been using some melon and rootbeer flavors and the vape was perfect. I havnt used it in a week or so, and today I got some blueberry cotton candy liquid. I swapped out my cotton for the new flavor and now my vape is very hot. I cant take more than a second or two drag without it hurting lol. any suggestions on why or how to fix this? I could take long drags before no problem. the only difference is different cotton/liquid

Sounds to me like you may have made the wick a bit more dense than usual, and it's not wicking as fast as the high wattage demands. That'll make the coil overheat.

that's what I am thinking as well. my buddy texted me back and told me I probably have a hot spot, that might have occurred from me rewicking and possibly forming the coil differently, but the coils are perfectly touching, and I made sure they were glowing from the inside out before re wicking. so I don't think it was a hot spot. after adjusting my wicking a bit, it seems to be helping. im dripping 8mg juice and I think im going to just buy some more vg and cut this sucker in half, bc its hitting was hard

There is no such thing as a hot spot from a short in a dripper, unless a coil is touching the deck. OTOH you could have a dry spot from juice not wicking fast enough that could be considered a hot spot.

I would try rewicking with less cotton. It's so easy and practically free, my thought is why not try it and see what happens.
