Vapor king - new comments

Ok, I finally got the order in today!!

First thing I did was rip open the bag and pulled my favorite cartomizer - MENTHOL...MAN, what a relief!! Yes I am :D

Got the new batteries charging as we speak.

The new batteries are branded V4L which took me awhile to get used to but I got to say, it does look cool.

I am very impressed with the Blue colored battery. It is a nice color. However, with the blue battery and light green colored menthol cart, the unit looks more like a toy or a party favor than anything else. That's a good thing, I'm sick and tired of people confusing my e-cig with a real one because of the striking resemblence to a real cigarette and getting on my case for vaping inside a public place. This new look will definatly will make people more curious than upset that I am vaping indoors. This is a great move in the right direction.

While my new batteries are charging, I am now using the USB pass-through. :D:D:D:D:D:D. Need I say more?

The USB pass-thru does have a 4-5 second cutoff but IMO, that should be enough to get your desired hit and vapor. This USB pass-thru was very much anticipated and to me, well worth the wait!!

I also got 2 carry cases. One Black and the other Blue. They are also branded and the branding is very well done. These carry cases are perfect to shove into your pocket while your on the go!! They accommodate 2 batteries and 2 cartomizers.

I don't know if this is an upgrade or not but the cartomizer's metal seems to appear to be of a different type of metal. Maybe it's me because my used carts are dull looking. But I do have to say, having a brand new cartomizer is much better than constantly refilling my old ones. Over a while, constantly refilling the carts does diminish it's quality of taste, throat hit and vapor over a period of time. (Hence "Disposable"). I guess within the next few days, I'll have a better idea whether or not it's a better improved cartomizer or not, but in the meantime, I got to say, I am extremely happy with the quality thus far!!

Last but not least, let me say a few things about Steve. This man is incredible and has a passion and zeal for the vapor king and his customers. Steve does the right thing in the business. He follows up with his customers as best as he can to make sure that everyone is happy, and makes it his business to find new and innovative ways to keep everyone happy.

I can only speak for myself, but I got to say that since I started vaping with the vapor king, all my other e-cigs are now back up units or paper weight.

For me personally, I'm sick and tired of dripping, using syringes, maintaining atomizers etc etc to enjoy a good vape.

The Vapor King has come a long way and to this day, I have not been dissappointed.

Thanks Steve!!

I agree wholeheartedly that the Vapor King is a terrific product! You'll never get bored with all the flavors to choose from and the owner, Steve, is TOPS! Product quality and customer satisfaction are of paramount importance to him and he is doing an INCREDIBLE job with Vapor4Life! I just started using his product about 6 weeks ago, but look forward to a LONG relationship and complete FREEDOM from analogs! I don't use anything but the KING now and I'm definately Smilin;) Yeah! ---Robin

You guys getting burnt carts like other people have experienced with the kr808d-1 models?

The carts will eventually burn out. You got to remember that these carts are "Disposables" which means one time use. Many of us have had great success re-filling them. I get an average of about 3 refills each cart before I have to throw them out.

I stock about 20-30 carts at a time because I'm a chain vaporer. I refill them 10-15 at a time and rotate them which makes them last a little longer.

Also, When you use them, don't dry them out. Once you get a little hint of a burnt taste and/or the flavor goes away and all you get is vapor, it's time to refill and switch to another cartomizer. This will keep that burnt taste and issue under control.

I will PM you a link to a website in china that will probably help you with your purchasing needs.

Thanks for the PM Blue.

What I meant though was is the inside of the cart burning? Have you ever dissected a cart to look at it? I read a few threads of people talking about the nicotine pads burning up in this model and the E9. I haven't seen any conclusive evidence that this problem has been fixed. I'm afraid to smoke on anything that's burning cartridge filler if that makes any sense....

JBoze ...I have almost taken apart every single KR808d cart that I have vaped. At one time I was using them exclusively. I can tell you if you are worried about burning the cart material this is not for you. Most of the carts I have had weren't filled correctly. I have bought the carts from 6 different suppliers. Most of the carts are usually underfilled.....those burn up really fast...less than 50 hits. IF they are filled correctly you will eventually burn them up at 150 hits. As soon as the cart becomes remotely dry....the carts material starts burning up.....eventhough you can't taste it. I was getting about 250-300 hits without burning them up when I was refilling them as I went along....every 30 vapes....4 drops of liquid. But in the end I decided these carts are just too dangerous.

I have noticed in the K808 models, that the carts do burn rather fast. The Vapor King and KR808, thou compatible, are really not the exact same models anymore. The VK has 4 holes instead of 2. This increases the airflow which is a good thing. I have also ntoiced that my VK carts don't really start to burn until after the 2nd or 3rd refill. When that happens, I throw them out. The best way to refill them is to pop the top off and drip 12-15 drops around the sides. Each time I refill, I check to see if they are starting to burn or not. If so, I throw them out.

I can understand your concern with anything burning, but if you to think about it, do we know for sure if there is any lead burning from the common atomizer in other e-cig models? What are other atomizers really made of? Do they contain anything that we should be concerned about that when burned and inhaled will cause us grief down the line? These questions have not really been accuratly answered, but yet, we use them anyway. So I guess that choice whether or not to vape with the vapor king, kr808 or any other e-cig model is up to you, but what I can tell tell you is that going back to analogs will be worst for all of us.

My wife and I ordered our Vapor Kings this weekend, since its a holiday and all we should be getting them around tuesday, This is my first E-Cig, and after reading many reviews and talking to steve on the phone, I really feel like i made the appropriate choice on our first purchase, I'll post my reactions on here, maybe a video blog of us giving them a go!

Perez-uzza to this day
The KR's (branded Vapor King) are definitely the peak of convenience - easiest to use, hassle free, no leaking, convenient size. For portability I usually pack four of them in a small pocket knife case - no bigger than a wallet and lasts all day. The two problems are 1) the expense of the carts and 2) smoking the filler.

SOLVING THE TWO PROBLEMS
I find that having a few loaded batteries to switch between solves the problem of heating up and burning filler prematurely. Another tip is to use the Green Cig carts - I like the KR carts flavor and throat hit better, but the GC carts have a very interesting design with a neato fiberglass wick under the filler so you never burn the filler. Also, you can take an empty GC cart, cut it in two about an inch from the bottom, and then you can direct drip a few drops on the fiberglass hairs to stretch your juice dollars if you want to reduce the quantity of carts you are buying. (If you do this, it helps to slip a KR "condom" with the tip cut off over the cart - makes a nice soft cool place for your lips).

I use the VK for portable convenience and direct drip the Prodigy w/ a big old 801 atty for times when I don't need the portability or feel of a KR. This combination works great, very reliable and conveninet, and saved me a lot of dough by ending the cycle of trying new models and being disapointed over and over again.

ok.. I havn't read all the way through all the previous posts but it seems to me that you all have pretty good things to say about the VK. And your posts are the reason I decided to go with the VK. So I felt that it is important for me to express my opinion for the next person who comes to this forum to find out which one to purchace.
My first e-cig was just this little disposable series that came with two cartridges. I was very impressed. Great vapor production, hardly a taste at all which I liked because it didn't taste bad. I liked it so much I decided I had to get a real one.
I recieved my VK kit yesterday and i'm very dissappointed. ...... off because of the amount of vapor it DIDN'T produce compared to my disposable. And I had no idea that taste would be such a deciding factor in choosing an e-cig until I tasted the multiple different flavors of carts that I ordered. In my opinion, they were all completely disgusting. SO BAD THAT I DON'T EVEN WANT TO USE MY NEW E-CIG.
When I first recieved my VK kit in the mail I was very impressed. It came with alot of cool stuff, great colors, nice size, very happy. Until I used it. Great on the outside but nasty on the inside.
I havn't givin up yet though. I ordered a few more flavors that i'm hoping i'll enjoy because I don't want this to be a waste of money. But still mad about the amount of vapor.
I hope that this post does not get deleted, making the VK look like a product that everyone seems to be happy with, because it's not. At least not yet. We'll see how I feel about it after I try the new carts.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to mod this thing so that I can get more vapor production it would be very helpfull. Ill be sure to keep posting so that you get the whole story, weather or not my opinion changes.
