Vapor Noob! just ordered my 510

Well, after pouring thru here and various supplier websites, and getting completely paralyzed by information overload... I sent in my order for a Joye 510 (and a whole lot of accessories) from Cignot Can't wait for it to arrive!
I have smoked analogs for 30 years, 1.5 pack a day habit now, I still enjoy a lot about smoking, but I hate the health effects of smoking tobacco!
My daughter sent me a link to Blucigs, seemed like a great idea, LOL.. then I started looking around and realized the extent of e-cigs!
I ordered ALL tobacco flavored juice, a bit skeptical of other flavors right now, couldn't believe the choices!!! can anyone recommend a supplier that sells a cheap variety pack of flavored carts?? if any of them do curious to try some... but don't have the money to spend on stuff I may not like

Congrats on your decision to start vaping! You will enjoy the 510 as I did when I first started. I would certainly recommend a PCC if you did not order one because the battery life with the 510. Welcome and wish you the best of luck on your new journey!

Hi! Just wait until you try it, you might find one in your order that you like. I haven't found a flavor that I absolutely love yet but every flavor I've tried so far has tasted better than my Camel Filters that I had for the last 25 years - right now I'm liking 555. You're like me, I kept telling people that the truth is that I really DON'T want to quit! I just don't want it to kill me! So glad I found e-cigs cause now I don't have to choose. I know there are places that sell the samplers, I just can't remember the name right now.. someone will chime in soon. Good Luck!

Thanks Lightinup! LOL, and yes! I did order a PCC, along with extra batteries, atty's and carts a car charge adapter and anything else I thought I needed... if I'm gonna stay away from analogs I figure I better make damn sure I have plenty of supplies!

I am totally the same way about cigs.. I like smoking is why it's so hard to quit! I enjoy the cig on the drive to work, after meals, etc... now I *REALLY* enjoy my 510 at those same times. I'm really glad I got one! I need to get the PCC and extra batteries etc now that I know I'm sticking with PV instead of analogs from now on..

I should be getting some flavors from Ms.T's Bakery in the next couple days. I'll post back here on how they taste. So far I've been using the Jimmy Puffit (lime) since I started PV and I like it a lot

Hi Rosa! LOL, you do sound like me smokin camel filters too, see you're 27 days into it... how is it working for you?
and yes, I am very excited to try this... and my daughter will be thrilled if it works and that she was the one that steered me to it! but, I really think these are the thing... it addresses so many of the habitual issues related to smoking analogs. not too mention the fact that they seem VERY cool!! LOL I LOVE gadgets, gotta be careful or I will get way too carried away with all the goodies!

Hey Mike!

I originally ordered tobacco flavors, as well, and although I love the ones I have- Boba's Bounty by Alien Visions and Drewbacco 2 by Nhaler- I've found that I really like sweet flavors, as well. I have blueberry and caramel from Alien Visions, as well, very good, clear flavors.

I'd recommend ordering as many flavors as you can afford; buy samplers, small bottles, try as many as possible until you find the ones you like best.

If you go into the ECF library (on the main forum page), you can find a six-post long intro to vaping. The section on first purchases or juice has links to a ton of people that sell samplers, if you haven't seen it, it's a great place to start!

Dont get everything all at once - youre doing fine just getting a couple you have to see if you like vaping first! lol (Btw cignots BASIC flavors are really good just so you know lol but if you dont like fruity flavors then they wont be for you - luckily you can order a tiny bottle to try once you find out if youre going to stick with vaping!)
Also - very important imo - do NOT have 'high expectations'. Vape as an ALTERNATIVE to smoking or as a compliment - if you end up quitting (which you probaly will if you like vaping) thats a bonus. Many many new users expect to be able to give up cigs within seconds of starting to vape, and if they dont they feel really let down.
Many many of us didnt give up right away, we tapered off smoking because it tasted horrid after a while. Some people never quit entirely because they dont WANT to, still want just one or 2 a day, and that's fine too.
Just take things slowly at YOUR own pace, don't compare your progress (or lack of it) to other people, and ENJOY it.

Congratulations and welcome to the family, Mike! You made a really good choice with you're 510. I'm glad you came on here and did some researching before you made your first purchase. Me, being sporadic spender, just went ahead and bought the blucigs starter kit after seeing a smoke everywhere vender in one of our local malls here in Honolulu. I really liked my Blu's for a while, but then I found this place! Shortly after that, my blu's started getting temperamental, so I placed an order for my TW Tornado, which I absolutely love, BTW!

As far as cheap carts, that I don't have the answer to. But... 510 carts are relatively easy to refill and much cheaper doing it that way. A really great place to get juice on the cheap is www.strictlyejuice.com, and they have some really excellent flavors, including the top tobacco flavors out there like 555, all of the Ruyan's, as well as some of the common brands of cigarette flavors. the PCC is definitely a lifesaver. 510 is known for a pretty short battery life, so I always tell people to get a pcc for their 510. I also use the PCC for M40x series which is awesome!

or you can also think about buying a USB passthru if you're going to be vaping in the house a lot! let your batteries rest a bit and charge, and vape the PT while you sit at the computer or watch TV!
