First off, let me say that Vapor Renu offers more personal preference options than any other vendors I have seen thus far. Also, I am still a bit of a noob at this. I am certain my preferences have a profound effect on the final outcome and therefore this review should be taken with a grain of salt. I am not discouraged from using Vapor Renu again and I will have to set aside personal preference to those with greater experience than my own.

All of my flavors from Vapor Renu were ordered as 100% VG, double shot flavoring, 16 mg nic content and medium throat hit.

Note: Throat hit was almost non existent on all flavors. I will have to up to a 24 mg nic and heavy throat hit next go around.

First up and worst up: Chocolate Almond- I really had high hopes for this one but they were quickly shot down because this "flavor" had almost zero flavor. I honestly thought they had given me flavorless VG by mistake until I picked up a little hint of something but not enough to identify what it was. Vapor production was good but that wasn't enough to hold my attention for long. Score: 0 out of 5 stars. *

Next is Apple Pie- Not much better than the Chocolate Almond flavorwise. You can tell it's supposed to be apple-something...... :glare: Again, this was another one I was looking forward to and was really let down. Score: 1 out of 5 stars. *

3rd was 555-This has the nutty flavor I was told to expect from a 555 flavor bit it is still somehow rather bland. The flavor is weak but considerably more present than the first two. This is the second vendor I have ordered a 555 flavor from and so far I am unimpressed. Score: 2 out of 5 stars. **

Last but not least is Coffee- It tastes like black coffee but the flavor is again weak for what I was expecting from a double shot. I salvaged this one somewhat using a little French Vanilla from Vaporbomb. The vapor is good and I think I could see this being a good mixer for other stuff. Score: 2.5 out of 5 stars. **+

The part that surprised me the most- these were supposed to be DOUBLE SHOT flavorings and they gave me almost nothing in the way of flavor. I could blame some of that on the 100% VG but that is why I ordered double flavoring in the first place.

95% of what I have read about Vapor Renu has been nothing but praise. At this point, I wish I could say the same. However, I will be trying one more order in the near future using their custom PG/VG/10% flavor enhancer and increase nic and throat hit options. Hopefully the results will be better than these 4 bottles of nearly unvapable liquid I have now. As I said earlier, I am still willing to take partial blame for my inexperience and not choosing the right combination of options. Hopefully by going with choices made by more experienced vapors, I will have better results.

Maybe you could talk to someone there or email them or something and tell them what you've experienced. I'm sure after that, they would know what to make for you. I love the 2 juices I have bought from them and after trying others, I keep coming back to them. I'm sure they could custom blend something for you. Hope you get it straightened out!
For what it's worth, I just found out that Gourmet Vapor is having a sale and decided to try a few of their samples, as I'm new to this. Facebook50 is the discount code.

I have ordered from several vendors, and I have the experience that VR's juices have to steep much longer than others' for the flavors to come forward. I have been told to expect to wait 1-2 weeks for non-dairy flavors and 3-4 weeks for those with a dairy component. I haven't loved every juice I've gotten from them, but the ones I like, I like a whole lot more than the juices from other places I liked. If you still don't like your juice after a month-- head on over to the Pay It Forward group and trade!! Great and honest review, btw.

I am going to let the Chocolate Almond and Apple Pie sit for a bit and see what happens. I'm almost considering mixing the 555 with some of the Raspberry I got from Strictly E-Juice and see what that turns out like. As for the coffee.... I've been mixing it with various concoctions all evening and found a couple that were pretty decent. I haven't given up all hope yet and I'm hoping the next batch will be better.

Thanks for the comments on the review as well. :)

I just got my second order from them yesterday. All custom blend, double shot, 16mg. None of the juices I've had from them (7-8) have any real throat hit. I don't care for throat hit, but I could see how that would bother others that want it. Their Apple Cinnamon is by far the best juice I've gotten from them so far. I'm on my second bottle now. The Creamberry and Strawberry Watermelon both seem like they need a little time to settle. The SW has a bit of a perfumey taste to it which I've heard people complain about from VR, but I can tell it'll wear off soon. In the end I love VR, but I don't think it's for everyone.

All their juices I have gotten are very smooth, which I prefer. Some people might not like missing the TH. I let my creamberry sit for about a month, and now it's very good. I've let my Blueberry pie sit for 2 weeks and it's good now too. When I got both of them in, there was very little flavor to them. I am still going to wait another 2 weeks before trying the english toffee again. First vaping.... ew. Tasted like super strong popcorn butter. now I Like popcorn butter just fine, but I'd not take a whole whopping mouthful of it either. Swedish Fish seems to be fine right out of the box. I have apple pancake coming in hopefully monday or tuesday. I hope it's great. Every vendor is going to have juices I don't care for, but overall for the price, service and selection, I like VR.

To be honest, I'm not big on throat hit myself as I smoked mostly lights and ultra lights as an analog smoker. However, I've noticed at least some throat hit in almost all of my juices except for these. I mentioned it strictly because I know this is a huge issue for a lot of people to get the full effect from vaping. I would have to say if throat hit is high up on your checklist for good e-juice then Vapor Renu is not for you. For those of us who don't care about throat hit either way, It's not a deciding factor. I need flavor, nicotine and lots of vapor. Throat hit- I can take it or leave it.

As far as the more inexpensive juice goes, I found all of the vapor renu flavors I tried to be quite good and well worth the 6.99-8.00. Loved the Icky... Swedish fish, ry4 and east coast... What I liked most about them is that VR has a very unique flavor. Their juice s don't have many or any recognizable flavorings for me... it's a relief to have anything that is unique...

TH an vapor were satisfactory to me on all of my juices.

In order to up the throat hit, you need to add more PG. You'll get less vapor but will get more bite. Someone mentioned in another thread that they add grain alcohol to the mix for the added TH which obviously is highest in 'aggressive'.

In the four bottles I've gotten, TH is minimal but I'm ok with that. I noticed your first batch was 100% VG. My understanding is that VG makes great vapor but kills flavor. I've only gotten the custom blend from them so I can't state that as a fact but my guess is that VG is the source of your problems.

I'd be interested to hear what you think of the next batch. I currently have SF, Welch's Grape, Cotton Candy and Apple Pie.

I'm willing to admit that may be part of it and I noted that in my original assessment. However, when I've ordered 100% VG from others and added extra flavoring, the result has been satisfactory. The second batch I've ordered is their custom blend which is a majority PG. I just hope I don't lose out on my vapor because if it.

If that's the case, they won't be in business long. People won't order and have to wait up to a month to use their products. My experience with them is they sell cheap and you get cheap. Personally, I'd rather pay a bit more and get better quality.

Wow, I'm so glad there is somebody else out there who has experienced this "phantom" flavor issue with this company! I recently decided to try one of their juices. See, I have been desperately searching for a good Whiskey or Bourbon flavor to replace my beloved one from V4L that has been discontinued. After doing exhausting research on the forum, I saw that a lot of people recommended Vapor Renu's Bourbon, so I ordered a bottle. I ordered their custom blend, double shot, aggressive throat hit and 24mg nic strength. When the bottle arrived, I do what I always do with new juice...take the top off and "sniff". The problems begin here. There was absolutely NO odor! (other brands I've tried have a distinct alcohol aroma) The juice was clear (which is odd, as all other brands of whiskey/bourbon juice I've tried all have a med to dark amber color) I thought my senses were decieving me so I filled up a fresh blank V4L cartomizer, screwed it onto my Vapor King and vaped...again, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I called the company, spoke to Jason and he thought I might have accidentally gotten a bottle of the base they use (minus the flavoring). He appologized and sent me two free bottles for my troubles. Unfortunatly, both bottles were the same as the first:( I emailed Jason and he swears the juice was "tested" before going out, that they kept extra on hand, that this batch was different from the first, and that he personally tasted it and it was "great". Folks, I dunno what's going on here but please help me out if I'm doing something wrong with this stuff because I just don't get it(I'm not a noob either...been at this for 17 months) and now have 60ml of juice I can't use(threw first bottle in trash) I will say that Jason, at Vapor Renu, was very polite, prompt, generous and tried to be as helpful as he could, so CS gets a huge A+ for effort:)
