Vapor shark battery issues

I replaced the battery on my vaporshark because I thought It wasn't working as a result of the battery. I swapped it out and soldered a new one into and I'm still having issues. The light for the button turns on when fired from the button and from the one on the dna chip. Also the battery began smoking at one point I'm pretty sure that's not a good sign. Please help me I have no clue what's wrong with it.

You can send it in to vaporshark to have it fixed.

Yea Id rather not though it's almost as much for a new mod to send it in. If it's fixable id rather just fix it
