I was told that the burnt flavor is in the wick, once removed...that burnt flavor should go away. If you vaped it and you got that hot dry burny flavor in your mouth, nose, and palette....it is possible that that flavor is in you. I did that once (well more than once) so I switched mods and vaped another flavor and drank something strong to dull my aural sensors. Then went back to that mod later and it was fine. Sorry about all the trial and error. We've all done it.

ya you could be right.. because actually that was the very first thing i tasted from my REO today.. that burnt flavor LOL.. i did prime it but it tasted really burnt for some reason

so i hope you're right!

Im really thinking its the 3.2ohm with a 3.7v battery... did you try the 1.8 ohm????

I'm sorry Chornbro, I made a typo (i'm still a newb -.-). meant to say 306's and 510's. All the atties i have are at 1.8ohms

EDIT: stepping out, be back in a bit. gonna try this PV thing again and update for u guys after I cook myself a nice fat steak -.- i'd cook all u guys one too for helping me if i could ;D

Here are another couple of thoughts.

you may want to change the pH in your mouth by drinking some water with lemon or some orange juice or something....or brush your teeth and use mouthwash.

Also, try vaping at flooded....keep it super wet. How is your mouth feeling? are you tasting a peppery flavor and is your mouth burning at all? if this is the case, it is possible that you might be using a nic level that is too strong for you. That really screws with the flavor when you're dealing with too much nicotine.

Have you been drinking enough hydrating fluids like water while you're vaping? Getting dehydrated can also mess with your taste buds.

Okay, I know you've left for a bit...but just wanted to leave these thoughts here for ya just in case any one of these could be contributing to your less than stellar experience. Keep us posted. :)

Enjoy your steak

These are some more great points... now I'm thinking either 1) your attys arent broken in or 2) its your dehydrated taste buds.

AW batteries, a REO, Cisco attys, BWB... you have pro equipment! Took me over a year of vaping to find this stuff, I really am impressed.... keep us posted on how it works out!

so i'm back.. waiting for my steak to marinate =)

with the advice of mwa, i put the two 510's i have in a condom, filled em up above the bridge before i left the house, one hazelnut BWB and the other vanilla bean BWB

tried them both...same....friggin.....thing.....not a hint of hazelnut or vanilla bean this is crazy

i'm thinking I just have a messed up palette or something this can't be right.

so for now......I'm not touching my REO again until i get my IKV atties...gonna try this again once i get those and see how it goes... I just can't stand that taste anymore

if that still doesn't work out.. gonna go to this vape store that's pretty far away.. and make the owner try my PV and see if my pallete is just messed up >.<

wish me luck guys.. i really don't want to give up on this

hi hi, i was actually drinking orange juice as I was doing all this as I googled through this site and found that advice.. unfortunately

jus drank another half a small bottle of orange juice before i did the above to take your advice. same thing =(((

there's no pepper taste or burning at all.. well, when i hit the vanilla bean just now it tasted slightly burnt if that means anything. i'm using 11mg. tried 18 before and it was too much.. 6mg i vaped all day and my nicotine craving never went away.

i haven't been drinking too much liquids though.. but i dont think i'm dehydrated neither i duno i sadly don't want to touch my PV anymore

i'm hoping it's the dehydrated tastebuds... there's no way 4 atties are broken. unless they all have primer or something when they're not supposed to..... anyway i can tell? what does primer taste like?

haha ya..i was very disappointed with my first PV experience.. so I wanted to get top of the line stuff for my next try.. i've been excited this whole week for this darn thing and it's jus so disappointing tbh..

ugh for the hell of it'll try it one more time before i wake up.

but ya.. gonna wait for the IKV's again. if not go to the store. if not then.........then i'll be smoking for the rest of my life and u guys have a REO mini for sale.. lol fuq =[

Have you met any fellow vapers around your area yet? I see you live in Cali. I'm wondering if there was a vape meet coming up near you that you could attend and get some help. This is always the tough part not being right in front of you to help. Typing what we're experiencing and what we think might help is only as good as the interpretation of both the reader and the author.

If you are experiencing anxiety over this whole vaping thing...that is normal. Cutting back or even just THINKING about cutting back on the smokes sent me into panic mode and I was easily agitated over it. To the point I wanted nothing to do with it. I've been vaping for 15 months, but only went analog free 9 months ago. The smokes had such a grip on me....it was so amazing how terrified I was ...I couldn't imagine a day without them. The smokes were the only thing I could depend on to get me through some really very rough times...letting that go was inconceivable. And I had already accepted the fact that I was just going to die as a smoker, and I was okay with that. I guess what I'm trying to say is that its okay to feel anxious....and that if it doesn't work for you now, it may again later on. No one here is going to be down on ya for it.

If nothing I wrote here applies...please disregard this post.:facepalm:

Okay...enough of my mushy bs. I'm tired. I'm going to bed now, but I'll check back in the morning. Rest well, Nocturn. :)

I know it is some distance from you, but I really suggest you go to that shop. I am sure they could tell you exactly what is wrong, and maybe give you some personal recommendations regarding juice and attys or cartos. Sometimes it is good to have someone with experience right there to help you. You have the best mod available IMO, now you just need a bit of one on one and I'm sure you will be able to do this. Take your REO, and maybe an extra battery just in case. Hope you let us all know what you find, and best of luck!!

Sorry about your dog. That's so gross when it happens.

Meeting up with experienced vapers really did make a night and day difference for us. We drove a couple of hours to go to a meetup, and it was awesome- tried lots of different things, and came away with a greatly improved knowledge of vaping. That, and it was just a heck of a lot of fun to meet everyone. I walked around smiling for days.

It took me a while to find a juice and cart combo that worked for me- and when it clicked it was HUGE. I went from panic/OCD reactions to being just completely and utterly content.

For me, vaping is like methadone. It's more addicting than smoking so it works. Smoking is what psychologists call a chained behavior- there are a lot of steps to the ritual, so you sort of have to get a ritual going with vaping too. I'm addicted to the nicotine, but also the experiences that come with it. Part of the ritual is being all consumed with vaping info- I don't have time to think about analogs because I'm always learning something on the ECF, or online looking at vaping gear.

You'll get there. FWIW- I bought some of the Cisco's too- and they're nice, but (and I know I sound like a broken record)- I get more vapor and a harder hit on my Boge 2.0 ohm cartos. I just keep going back to them.

I'm gonna offer up a few things and gonna torque some I'm certain.
1-BWB is NOT for every pallet. I have tried malty, malty toffee, honey flue, honey flue nut, and backo. They all had a super funky taste to me. Steeped over a month...same thing. I don't know what they use a a base, but to my pallet is is some nasty stuff. Try a different juice brand if you can.
2-the is a meet TODAY in Glendora. Don't know the time or place but google the ECF and I'd bet you find it.
3-Stated as primed or not, I ALWAYS blow through that batt end of a new atty to make sure nothing is in there. Cisco is not supposed to be primed, but I just got an order in the past 2 weeks that was. That stuff is NASTY!
4-attys have a break in period, but usually not very long. I chain vape and the flavor comes out great in 15-30 minutes.
5- I think mlinky is onto something. You could be flooded. You will get minimal flavor and vapor. Blow out the atty and see how many drops come out. It will give you an indication of how many drops LESS to put in next time.

GET TO THAT MEET IF YOU CAN!!!!!

Good luck.

the 306 are very tricky to get the perfect amount of fluid in. They flood easily and give you no taste or u will not have enough taste and get this burnt taste that i describe as a gunpowder taste. If u have ever shot alot of guns u will recognize this smell/taste. I recommend doing what Mlinky said above take off the atty blow through it a few times wipe it down, put it back on and vape it one time real quick. If it has that gunpowder taste barely squonk ur bottle a bit, try vaping it real quick again, slight gunpowder taste again squonk alittle more but just barely, keep doing this till u fond that good taste of teh juice. It will take some practice to learn exactly how much to squonk but u will get it and be glad you did.

Oh forgot to say this to but you said the vapor doesnt feel very warm but actually cool. To me this says definately flooded. The 1.8's you should be able to vape and stick your tongue near the drip tip as your vaping and you will feel a very warm airflow, if its flooded the air will be cool or barely noticeable warm. Just something i thought of as a way for you to test it and maybe give us a better feeling of whats going on.

I quit smoking almost 5 months ago. Here are my observations:

All of my favorite juices taste best in the morning. The later in the day it gets, the less I can taste my vapes.

I pretty much accept that I won't ever enjoy blissful vaping throughout the day. My buds just don't have the stamina for it. Rotating my flavors helps some.

Just my two cents ... a week and a half steep is nothing if its juice that needs steeping.

I think I've read that BWB needs a good steep ... (never had it)

A month is pretty common before its gets good.

I have some issues with flavor and attys .... If i wan't to taste the juice all day long a Boge 2Ω carto is my best bet.
Attys taste great for the first 1-3 hours .... then nuttin sometimes.

Same thing for me, i have tried applewood, vanilla bean, casablanca and a few others from BWB. All of them had a chemical taste to me. Not sure why but i havent liked any juice ive tried from them. I haave tried several several juice vendors and i like FSUSA's Wyatt Earp and Applewood. Avejuice's Boba's Bounty (didnt like it the first few times i tried it, now i cant live without it) Gorilla Juice. All of my favorites had to grow on me but i couldnt manage to come around to the BWB juices. Get some samples from different places. Also ecopure full flavor from innovaper helped me get over analog cravings when i started vaping. I didnt really like the flavor but it helped the cravings. Good Luck
