Nice review. I would guess the fact that the drip tip is slightly larger is to stop the carto tank from sliding up too far.

Thanks! It's possible, although the drip tip isn't in there particularly tight, so it could easily pop off if you nudge the tank up. I was told after this review was filmed and uploaded that the drip tip included with my particular tank may have been a bit of an aberration as the rest in VG's inventory do seem to fit. But again, it's a minor gripe at best as you can use your own drip tip or just pop the tank up while it's screwed onto a battery. The drip tip itself does it's job fine otherwise.

Thanks for the review. I've got a few on the way and looking forward to trying them out. Smoktech has also brought out a smaller tank that holds 3.5ml. It's the same length so it uses the same replacement cartos but it just smaller in diameter.

I haven't seen that one in the wild in this part of the world yet, but that one might be a little better fit for your eGo/Riva/Kgo batteries without looking quite so bulbous. :) Personally though I like this tank for its larger capacity (6+ml if you count the juice in the carto), lasts me a good day and a half or so before needing a refill. If SmokTech made flanged resurrectors to fit these tanks (and you could probably fit them anyway, they just won't have the flange) so that they didn't suck your battery dry in record time, I could shove one of these on a mod and have the battery last as long as the tank of juice did.

I got one of these today. I pulled out the 1.5 ohm carto to replace it with a 2.5 ohm Smok Tech tank carto (same carto with one hole and flange) for use on my VV box mod.

I lubed up the inner o-rings on both the top and bottom caps with some 100% VG. Both caps have inner o-rings, by the way. Even though I was trying to be careful, I shaved a little sliver off the inner o-ring in the bottom cap when I pushed the new carto through. I pulled the carto back out and put on a tapered delrin drip tip and reinserted it. That seemed to work better.

This is a pretty decent inexpensive no frills carto tank. I used to think these XL dual coil cartos were worthless in carto tanks, but Smok Tech got it right with the one small hole and the flange on the bottom.

That was my thought, it's not flashy or anything, but it works and it works well. The small hole seems to draw liquid in at a well measured pace that keeps the coil(s) wet enough to do the job. I do want to get some of the higher ohm cartos though as I'd rather higher voltage with higher resistance than lower. Where did you get your cartos?
