Mike, I hope everything works much better now. Sometimes, things are just a pain in the A&&. Right now, I'm having issues with the learning curve and using carto tanks..... and I'm certainly not the most patient person in the world!!

I'm getting the hang of it. There is like the little 2mm area where the tank and base will fit together and work. Too far one way and it won't fire. Too far the other and it loses seal and floods. The Evod 2 has been myain work tank for over a month. So, I think it is doing okay considering it gets pulled on, banged on, and used very often.

The learning curve fellsore like a learning mountain some days. lol

Oh and one other thing Mike, I was browsing the Vapor Engine site earlier, and I found out that you sell the Protank 2 replacement coils. Unfortunately I just ordered two 5 packs a couple days ago (somewhere else) because I didn't think you carried them, and I checked. The reason I didn't find them the first time was because I only checked in the Accessories>Replacement Coils category, and the PT2 coils don't show up in that category. I only saw them today because I was looking at the Kangertech category.

I just figured you might want to update that, not that it's a big deal, I just figured it might help other customers find them.

EDIT - They don't show up in the Clearomizers category either.

No problem, I am one of the people who prefer the PT2 over the PT3. Only because I plan to rebuild the coils eventually, and I'm not sure I could do it with the dual-coil heads from the PT3's.

I've rewicked one of my dual coils with cotton--it was a little tricky and you have to make sure you let the wick soak in the juice for a long time or you get a dry burn, but it is doable. Rebuilding the coils, however, looks a little difficult (although I have yet to do so with even a single-coil, so what do I know?).

I JUST ripped apart an iclear 16b/d atty to rewick, broke off a piece of thumbnail, hurts! I have rebuilt a aspire and iclear 16b/d head into single coil I don't see why you couldn't do dual, with 32gauge probably though...

Those Protank coils are so tiny! I did pull the wicks out of one, but it looked like it would be impossible to rewick both coils. I couldn't even see where the lower one was, so it's sitting there waiting for me to get braver.

Cotton, easier to work with imo

The trick that I found was to gently push the top coil over to one side because the leads block the bottom coil. Wick the bottom coil. Then, on top of the bottom coil (and a little to the other side), place a tiny flavor wick between the two coils (I don't know if this is truly necessary, but I figure it may help prevent the coils from touching and shorting). Last, push the top coil back toward the center and wick and you're done.

That said, it's still a lot of work compared to a single coil, so it may not really be worth it. And, if you prefer dual coils, it seems that the price of the original Kanger coils may be coming down with the appearance of their new design, so...?
