Luxe 80 first impressions:
I was quite surprised by Vaporesso's decision to release a kit with proprietary atomizer (not replaceable) among other things combined with a beautiful and small Mod that with its 2,500mAh of battery capacity and the same graphic interface of the beautiful PM80, he could have unleashed a notable "hype" to the many MTL users who are looking for Mods with compact dimensions for their small RTA tanks. A wasted opportunity? Or simply an entry level kit dedicated to users who love vaping in RDL mode?

Looking closer, I realize that the GTX tank is the same one previously used on the "tubes" of the GTX GO 80 series, so having personally and recently appreciated the remarkable aromatic qualities of the GTX Coils and the refilling practicality of these tanks, I already have answer!

Luxe 80 is a "mix" of the best features of the latest devices released by the parent company in Shenzhen for RDL / DL vaping. Allow me a personal consideration; when this tank in the future will be equipped with a replaceable drip-tip with 510 adapter, this will be able to can seriously be defined as a perfect universal kit.

Luxe 80 Feeling:
The positive evaluation of this Kit skyrockets the moment you pick it up and start using it. The dimensions and weight are naturally contained but above all its form factor that fits perfectly in the palm of your hand. Furthermore, thinking that you are using a "big" 2,500mAh battery contained in such a small body is another source of satisfaction.

Luxe 80 dual personality:
For this test I received the color versions "Wood Grain" and "Blue" which are characterized by having two completely different "faces", in fact one side is covered in soft leatherette and the other is decorated with an insert extremely smooth, made with "IML" technology that changes according to the versions. I love the really elegant and refined "wood" version, but the "blue" version is also captivating; looking at it carefully it shows a beautiful play of colors between shades and shadows, with reflections ranging from black to blue depending on the angle of exposure to light.

Luxe 80 Front / Back:
On the front above the display we find the round-shaped fire button, the "Up and down" adjustment buttons have the same shape and are located at the bottom just below the display and are very close to the underlying USB type C charging socket. All 3 keys are comfortable and precise in their movements.
the 0.96-inch TFT Display has the same graphic interface as the beautiful Target PM 80, so the information is also the same; graphic level of battery charge, set mode, set power, graphic wave equalizer of the puff, indication of the Best wattage (smart function), value of the coil, Volt, puff counter and duration of the last puff.

In the back as on the front there is a recessed groove, but here it is more pronounced than in the front one. The design of this surface favors ergonomics for a firm grip. The white Vaporesso writing is arranged vertically.

Luxe 80 Above / Below:
The structure that houses the pod system is built in sturdy aluminum alloy and is integrated into the Mod, so we will not have the possibility to unscrew it to replace it with our regenerable tank.
The "tank" has two slots for the passage of the air flow towards the coil which are opposite and measure 12x3mm each, the adjustment of the AFC system is done simply by rotating the proprietary tank once installed.
The Pod compartment contains the two gold-plated electrical contact pins in the center, the "floor" is perfectly flat and this greatly facilitates cleaning operations if needed.

On the bottom of Luxe 80 there are three small vent holes for the integrated battery, always on the bottom there are the characteristics of the battery, the name of the device, the logo and the C E brand.

GTX Pod:
The Pod system is perfectly compatible with the other GTX 80 Di vaporesso device. The Tank is equipped with a very light Top-cap with integrated and non-replaceable drip-tip.
The Top-Cap with internal (red) gasket can be quickly unscrewed / screwed in with a 1/4 turn. The system uses 3 teeth that slide on as many tracks present laterally in the upper part of the cartridge. The silicone membrane allows you to insert the needle of the container for filling and not to let the liquid escape. On the upper surface of the cartridge there is a small vent hole to keep the pressure inside the tank under control.

SSS Leak-Resistant Technology:
Vaporesso has devised several strategies to effectively seal the system / pod from leaks.
• The top refill has a membrane to let the liquid in but not to let it out.
• The junction between the chimney and the coil is equipped with a large o'ring for an optimal seal
• New type of absorbent material offers constant liquid saturation
• The latest batch of GTX coils has been updated with the introduction of the double o-ring to ensure optimal sealing against any leaks.

Easy and Convenient GTX Pod:
We have seen how easy it is to fill the tank from above, the e-liquid capacity is very good (5ml) and its internal level is easy to control thanks to a large transparent surface. The AFC system provides two opposing slots that are obtained on the lower part of the cartridge and are mirrored to those of the compartment / pod which is integrated into the Mod. To adjust the right amount of air, simply rotate the Pod once inserted into its compartment. The buttonholes are divided in the center by a crossbar which serves as a reference for a precise adjustment of the AFC system.
• The coils are inserted from the bottom with pressure and are blocked by the special type of processing performed on the bottom of the cartridge.

GTX Coil:
Vaporesso declares to have carried out numerous and rigorous tests for many months and to have managed to create a new line of GTX Coils that they can really boast of. In fact, on GTX coils there is very little to discuss or contest, they were already very performing before and they are even now. From the image below it seems that two new coils will soon be available.

Vaporesso Luxe 80 Operating Guide:
• Power On / Off: Click the Fire button 5 times within 2 seconds.
• Charging: Once the USB cable is connected to the battery, the battery indicator and the remaining charge appear on the screen.
• Lock / Unlock Settings: Press the Fire button 3 times.
• Access to the Menu: Press the "+" and "-" buttons at the same time.
• SMART VW: The power of the device will be automatically adjusted according to the coils (Smart Deactivatable)
• VW: Wattage adjustment mode from 5 to 80W with steps of 0.5W at a time
• VV: Voltage regulation mode.
• PUFF: The count of the puffs of the last 7 days is stored (Yes / No Reset)
• DEFAULT: Restoring the factory settings;
• THEME: Select the theme color (Green, Blue, Pink)
• EXIT: Return to the main interface.

Axon Chip Protections and Alerts:
• Short Circuit Protection: the device has detected a short circuit.
• No Load Protection: The device has detected the absence of the cartridge on the battery.
• PCBA Overheath Protection: The device has detected an overheated PCBA.
• Auto-Shut Off Protection: Charging port protection
• Cut Off: Continuous vaping for over 10 seconds.
• Over Charge Protection: The USB input voltage is too high.
• Over Discharge Protection: The battery is too discharged.
• Over Voltage protection: The Voltage is too high
• Low Voltage Protection: The Voltage is too low

Luxe 80 Battery:
The battery has an excellent capacity of 2,500mAh which guarantees a lot of autonomy even at relatively high powers, it also supports pass-through during charging. The system offers a charging speed of 2A (USB type C 5V / 2A) and during the operation the screen displays a progress bar with the estimate of the time remaining to its completion. It takes about 75 minutes if recharged at 2A and 150 minutes if recharged at 1A, these are the two speeds allowed for this process.
* Avoid using charging speeds higher than 2A to avoid damaging the device

Final conclusions:
I consider this small device for the RDL / DL vaping one of the most beautiful and performing entry level products currently available on the market.

I am also seriously interested in the LUXE 80S version (soon to be released) which is equipped with a removable 18650 battery, if Vaporesso does not send it to me for a test, I will definitely buy it!

As for me and for the impressions I got during this review, i can recommend the Luxe 80 by Vaporesso to all those looking for a kit with these fantastic characteristics.
