Hello and welcome to my review of the LUXE X that was sent to me from vaporesso. The newest Pod device from vaporesso has a generous 5ml Pod and sports a 1500mAh internal battery with a power output of 40 watts. The LUXE X is a very simple and easy device to operate with only 1 button that acts as the power/fire activating button, there is no display screen or wattage adjustment with the Axon smart chipset delivering correct wattage and recognizing each Pod connected. Another one of the LUXE X features is with adjustable airflow by turning the pod 180° and advertised as being able to be vaped MTL or DL vaping. Lets start with some info before my review.

    FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Starting off with packaging we have a slide out bottom box from a outer sleeve, contents of the Pod System are housed in their own cut out of a plastic tray containing the LUXE X with the 0.4Ω Pod pre-installed, the 2nd 0.8Ω Pod, Type-C change cord and the paper document of the user manual in a Black rectangle cardboard envelope.

The first thing that caught my eye was the clear protective wrap around the LUXE X, it's nice to see Vaporesso cares enough to do this. A large X is displayed under the LUXE X name on one side that gives off a rainbow sparkle effect if the light catches it at just the right angle.

I was sent the Blue colored one that is a matt finish leaving no fingerprints. Turning the device to one side the Vaporesso name is highlighted inside the outer shell, the other side portion has the battery mAh imprinted on it.

Turning the device over to have a look at it's backside I was impressed with the chipset board being shown through the crystal clear polycarbonate body that has a bottom Black gradient appearance. I must say that I really like the look of the LUXE X. There are 3 LED lights that illuminate in the Black when the Power/Fire button is pressed, they are the battery strength indicators.

    3 LIGHTS - 60-100% 2 LIGHTS - 30-60% 1 LIGHT - 30% And Under

The LUXE X utilizes 2 airflow slots the on opposite sides to make a more even airflow intake, positioning of these 2 airflow slots is at the top portion of the device and have not impeded my vape once, I think they are in the best location on the device. This is a button firing only device having no auto-draw feature on it, the button is clicky and responsive firing immediately.

Pictured below is the 2 Pods that come packaged with the LUXE X, the pre-installed 0.4Ω Pod has a inner base that is Red in color making it easy to identify from the 2nd 0.8Ω Pod that has a Black interior base. Incidentally I want to tell you that the protective wrap was left on for some pictures.

Both Pods are of the bottom fill style using thick rubber plugs that are able to be rotated out of the way when filling either Pod. The juice opening is of nice size and makes for a very fast and mess free fill up of juice. The Pods are connected using magnets, 2 at the top and bottom of the Pod. Having a lightly tinted pod and a juice capacity of 5mls are good to see.

Before using the pre-installed 0.4Ω Pod a protective sticker must be removed, this sticker covers the contacts of the Pod making it unfunctional until removed. This is a safety step that Vaporesso uses so no unintentional firing of the device is possible.

In this picture I have to point out something that I finally figured out during testing of the LUXE X. Vaporesso says that the airflow control can be adjusted to 2 different positions by rotating either Pod 180°, I tried and tried to feel a difference but really couldn't until I moved one of the Pods after rotating it ( It Wiggled ) .

That's when I realized I was missing a airflow stopper or plug as pictured below. All I can report on is the airflow in the RDL or DL mode position which were about equal and I like both positions for a RDL vape because the device hits them with a good amount of power. The Corex heating tech works very well powering 32 watts to the 0.4Ω Pod and 16 watts to the 0.8Ω Pod. I'm sure my missing stopper /plug is a isolated one and I wouldn't worry about it.

Both Pods appear the same except for the mouthpiece of each Pod, on the 0.8Ω Pod there is a thinner more tapered duckbill mouthpiece for a easier draw when doing a MTL draw. I wish I could give you my findings on the MTL vape but with the stopper/plug missing I can't.

Finally I can show you how nice the LUXE X looks with the protective wrapper removed. The polycarbonate crystal clear finish actually appears like it's glass. I really like the transparent side showing the board and chipset inside.

    FINAL IMPRESSIONS

I will say as far as the appearance goes I really like it, as far as the vape goes I will can only talk on how well the RDL and or DL vape is because of the issue mentioned earlier. RDL and DL are pretty much the same airflow wise and for me it vapes just as I like it to be.

In the flavor department I'm getting very good flavor from a juice I know very well. Simplicity is a big feature of the LUXE X having no wattage to adjust, no display screen to keep track of and airflow being simple as well. I like the shape, thickness and weight as well.

I would like to thank Danny and Vaporesso for sending the LUXE X for the purpose of my review and I hope all your questions were answered as well.

    THANK YOU
