► TARGET 80; Front / back view:
Even the front of Target 80 is simple and clear, covered almost entirely by a dark screen that incorporates 4 circular keys.
The top key is the largest and is that of Fire.
Under the Display there are the Up / Down adjustment keys + the (very convenient) "mode" to enter the menu, below is the type-C recharge. Curious to note how the composition of the 3 small buttons + the charging port form a smile with eyes, nose and mouth!
The TFT screen layout uses three colors: white, blue and green. The user interface with additional features is revamped and uses easy-to-read fonts. The display shows the following information; battery bar, set power (Wattage, Voltage, Bypass), power supply mode, Ohm, Volt, puff counter, last puff duration.
While charging, there is a timer that lets you know the time remaining at the end of the operation.
The back ends with a central metal bar bearing the word "Vaporesso" arranged vertically, at the top there is a T6 screw and the "handle" for the collar. The handle is quite comfortable because from a rounded side section you pass to a very reduced rear profile that favors grip.
► TARGET 80; View below / above:
The generous shape of the bottom contributes in an excellent way to keep the device firmly in a vertical position. The six vent holes are specially made for safety in case of internal cell malfunction.
Three torx screws hold the Cup to the Mod and there are also 3 outward grooves that are able to transport air even if you are using an atomizer with a covered air intake. The 510 pin is spring loaded and is plated / gold.
The steel bowl of TARGET 80 has a reduced diameter of 24mm which allows the use of very small tanks without the occurrence of unsightly protrusions.
► TARGET 80; Tank 26mm:
The Pod system is equipped with a very light Top-cap with integrated and non-replaceable drip-tip but discreetly sized for "universal" use.
The Top-Cap with internal (red) gasket can be quickly unscrewed / screwed in with a 1/4 turn. The system uses 3 teeth that slide on the tracks present laterally in the upper part of the cartridge. The silicone membrane allows you to insert the needle of the container for filling and not to let the liquid escape. On the upper surface of the cartridge there is a small vent hole to keep the pressure inside the tank under control.
The bottom of the cartridge has 4 powerful magnets that guarantee a firm grip on the 510 base, the coils are inserted by pressure.
The 510 base has an external diameter of 26mm at the widest point and then conically converges at 24mm towards the bottom. There are two AFC slots of 12x3mm each, the adjustment of the air is done simply by rotating the tank.
► SSS Leak-Resistant Technology:
Vaporesso has devised several strategies to effectively seal the system / pod from leaks.
• The top refill has a membrane to let the liquid in but not to let it out.
• The junction between the chimney and the coil is equipped with a large o'ring for an optimal seal
• New type of absorbent material offers constant liquid saturation
• The latest batch of GTX coils features double o-rings to ensure optimal leak tightness.
► GTX Coil:
The Tank is compatible with all the updated range of GTX coils that adopt a new antibacterial formula of cotton and linen as absorbent material, the manufacturer claims that this greatly improves the aromatic production and the transport of liquid.
Included in the TARGET 80 kit are the 0.2Ω Mesh-Coil with a range of use between 45-60 watts (Best 55 watts) and the 0.3Ω Mesh-Coil with a range of use between 32-45 watts ( Best 45 watts)
► Operation Guide:
- Power on / off: 5 clicks on the Fire button
- Lock or Unlock Screen: Press the Fire button 3 times
- After connecting the Type-C cable to the Mod, the battery indicator shows the percentage of charge and the remaining time
The menu is accessed by holding down the "menu" button at the bottom until the mode starts flashing, using the "+" and "-" adjustment buttons you can switch to the other desired power modes, to confirm press the Fire button or wait 5 seconds
To access the complete settings, press the "menu" button 3 times, once inside use the "+" and "-" adjustment buttons to adjust the various parameters, to confirm press the menu button.
Axon Chip Includes protections: Low / High Resistance, Overheat, Short Circuit, Overload / Over Discharge.
► AXON CHIP 2.0; special modes:
• F (t) mode
This mode automatically adjusts the best temperature, speed and heating time of the resistance. According to Vaporesso the F (t) mode adequately releases the flavors of the liquid and offers a perfectly balanced tasting experience consistently from the first puff.
• PUL (Pulse mode)
It is a mode designed by Vaporesso to improve the vaping experience through the constant voltage output. It is declared; an increase in flavor, a perception of nicotine maximized with a big hit, steam with perfect and constant temperature.

Do it yourself mode
In this section it is possible to choose and set three power levels (VW) Soft, Normal, High from 5 to 80W with an increase / decrease of 0.5W at a time. You can also set the VV output from 0 to 9V, or the BP mode (Bypass)
• Smart function
The very useful Smart function must be activated and reads the resistance of the coil you are using by automatically setting it to an appropriate wattage.
This function can also be used with other coils from other manufacturers but also with build type resistors (do it yourself).
► TARGET 80; final conclusions.
Would I recommend TARGET 80? Surely! I liked this entry-level kit a lot and found no noteworthy flaws. This Kit could also use GTX coils for MTL but the non-replaceable drip-Tip is suitable for the RDL / DL Flavor and this is probably its only limitation. TARGET 80 with a simple replaceable Drip-Tip could have been truly universal for all uses.
Below I summarize its characteristics.
The built-in battery inside the Target 80 surprisingly reaches 3000mAh and this would not be said in such a small mod. Target 80 has on average 36% more battery capacity than major competing products of similar size. The integrated battery allows a more efficient use of the available space compared to the removable battery mods that have the same capacity, in fact TARGET 80 is much smaller and lighter.
Target 80's "cage" design has been designed for outdoor use without fear of accidental falls or bumps. The comfortable triangular form factor conveys a good hand feeling.
The charging speed is impressive, Target 80 can be charged to 20% within 15 minutes.
As the vape market matures, the products are becoming more and more similar to each other and to beat the competition Vaporesso has invested heavily in research and development of innovative modes such as the F (t) mode or the pulse mode a direct current that Vaporesso was the first to introduce.
As for the Pod system, Vaporesso supported by the parent company SMOORE International, has set new industry standards by driving innovation. They were in fact among the first brands to adopt the press to fill (PTF) system and the watertight SSS technology. GTX coils are undoubtedly among the best pre-made resistors available on the market.
The DC-DC storage converter with an output voltage higher than the input allows Step-Up with a semi-discharged battery.
