Hello all,

I'm so glad and full of joy.

I finally found a supplier in my country that has Veco Plus tanks in stock, earlier than expected!
Of course, I ordered one of those immediately, which will go on my Nebula, on which it will certainly look better than the Estoc Mega today.

You may imagine that I'm now looking forward very much to a DHL employee ringing at my door bell, having a small parcel for me in his hand. This will probably happen on Friday, or Saturday latest.
I'll keep you posted.

Best regards,
aLyr

Alyr: happy to hear, let us know when it arrives

So on my front, the veco one setup arrived today with (1) 10pack of traditional coils and (1) 10pack of ceramic. I would have preferred the kit with the veco plus but couldn't find it anywhere online.

So, I threw in a ceramic coil and have been using that today. Will take some time getting used to this coming from the BBB on the v8 kit but so far so good.

I actually am using it right now on my IJUST S battery which is 3000mah compared to the veco one kit 1500mah. I assume this is okay to use on a regular basis as the IJUST S battery lasts a long time before charging is needed. I have to make an assumpton the IJUST S bettery does the same function as the batter on the veco on kit but only with a larger mah capacity. Both are just one fire button, no adjustability. I think they both set power according to the coil ohm.

With regards to flavor I think the BBB is better but again two different animals to be honest. Vapor production is way different as well but again two different animals.

I will eventually throw the veco tank on a regulated mod to better control the power etc.

Oh I forgot, since I am using a ceramic coil for the first time can it give an odd flavor here and there if taking a few hits one after the other? Do these coil have starvation issues sometimes? I swear every once in a while I get an off flavor hit that has a very odd flavor.

That's it for now I guess, did I miss anything?

You can definitely experience an off flavor on an new ceramic coil. It does't last long, though, and then it's just pure flavor! If it starts to taste too hot or burnt I would suggest swapping the tank to a regulated mod. I wouldn't think a 3000 mAh battery would be too strong but I don't know that for sure. It shouldn't ever taste dry, though.

The IJust battery works just like an eGo or mechanical mod (with some protections. It's a direct voltage so the output depends on the resistance of your coil. Ohms law will let you know the draw. As far as worry, the IJust usually comes with a 0.15 ohm SS coil (I think, well pretty sure). I imagine if it will handle that, so long as your coils are above 0.15 ohm, you'll be fine.

Be aware as the battery drains, the voltage and power decline. Not sure how that will affect something like a ceramic coil.

Thanks, cooladdict.

I'm so excited to receive my parcel, which is already on its way. I now expect it to arrive on about 2017-03-10T15:00+01:00
(= 2017-03-10T06:00-08:00 on the US west coast).
If anyone wants to follow the way of my parcel, use this link.
Please note that the DHL site is in maintenance mode sometimes, typically around midnight in Europe.

I already removed the Estoc Mega Ø22mm tank from my Nebula, which is now waiting for the Veco Plus Ø25mm tank to be mounted.

And, of course, I will report on my experiences with the Veco Plus.

Best regards,
aLyr

Hello all,

though later than expected, I received my Veco Plus 4ml tank today at 2017-03-11T14:28+01:00.

First thing was an inspection, unscrewing all parts.

The bottom part contained a EUC traditional coil 0.2Ω, which I immediately replaced with the spare EUC ceramic SS316 coil labelled 0.6Ω, as I wanted to run it in temperature mode. But my Nebula mod tells me just 0.52Ω. So what.

Removing the top part was difficult at first. After making it, its gasket stood out from where it should have been. Thus, I put it thorougly into place and screwed the top back onto the tank. From now, all went more easily, and unscrewing as well.

The AFC ring at the top is tighter than usual, but I don't mind. Other than on my Veco 2ml, it will not change its setting easily while screwing the top on after filling.

Looks?
The Veco Plus looks very nicely on my Nebula. Seems like mod and tank were meant for each other.

Dimensions, including mouthpiece?
Veco Plus 4ml is 50mm H, 25mm Ø
Estoc Mega 4ml is 52mm H, 22mm Ø
Veco 2ml is 44mm H, 22mm Ø

The Delrin mouthpiece is wider than those of Veco and Estoc Mega tanks.

After receiving the tank, mounting it on my Nebula, and filling in some banana juice with 80% VG and no PG, I let it rest for quite a while, during which I charged my also newly acquired Brillipower 26650 5Ah LiIon cell, which is meant for the Nebula, of course.

After mounting my new Veco Plus on my Nebula, I first had to change the temperature setting, as I heard a loud hissing noise when pushing the start button.
So I first reduced the temperature setting for SS316 from 230°C/445°F down to 140°C/285°F.
With this, the hissing noise was far lower.

Anyway, my Nebula always needed lower temperature settings compared with Tarot Pro and Tarot Nano, all with identical ceramic coils.

But moreover, the new EUC ceramic coil in my Veco Plus seemed to need time to "break in". After a trial period with a dozen of draws, I can now run it at 180°C/355°F, working nicely for me.

The Veco Plus is thus the best tank I've ever had,
and I can recommend it.
I'm very delighted.

Best regards,
aLyr

PS: The now fully charged Brillipower cell already went into the refrigerator, where it belongs for storage.

So, here is my thoughts on my tank thus far.

The traditional coils (I bought a pack of .4ohm) in my opinion are not that great. I used one for 3 days and it bit the dust. I then tried a .5ohm ceramic and I think the flavor was much better and it's still going.

What I did today was to take out the ceramic coil atnd give a warm water soak for a few hours as I wanted to try another traditional coil and guess what, it had the oddest flavor and might have been a dud as I couldn't vape it more than a few minutes as it was god awful. Chucked it in the trash. I might not even use the traditional coils I have left.

So I guess I will stick with the ceramic coils and not both with traditional anymore.

Assembly/disassembly I have no real issues with thus far.

I did not like the drip tip that came with the tank so I used a spare I have that is larger and taller, make the experience better in my opinion.

Oh, yes, my air flow is also ultra tight but leave it wide open so no big deal to me.

Keep in mind I am using this on the veco one battery, not an adjustable mod so maybe the traditional coils didn't like it.

Either way, thus far, I like it. I can't say I love just yet BECAUSE I am also trying out my new tobeca super tank mini with the .2ohm coil and the flavor and production are superb. I am using this tank on the veco one battery and it work surprisingly well considering I can't adjust wattage.

That's it for now

Yay, I'm so glad you got it and you love it! :) There's nothing quite like finding that perfect vape, right? I really need to pick up a Nebula soon. I still haven't pulled the trigger but as soon as I can I will grab one for my VECO tank, too! :)

I bet you are onto something with the traditional coils. I wouldn't give up on them until you try them on a regulated mod. I run both traditional and ceramic (though when I buy replacements I will go with all ceramic because that is my preferred wicking) and I haven't had any problems with them.

Has anyone come across an issue like this?

Sorry if anything I type is n00bish. I know that I prob have a lot to learn about mods, TC, VV/VW, TCR, etc.

I just got my Nebula kit last week and it came with the Veco One Plus tank. I love it! Especially the top airflow (every bottom airflow tank I've had always leaks after a fill, despite the mfr's "leakproof design" claims. This include my Estoc Mega tank and my Gemini RTA) Not a single drop of a leak with my Veco after dozens of refills so far.

Here's my issue. With EUC coils generally topping out at 35-45 watts, TC has been a nightmare. I haven't gotten TC to work properly with EUC coils in any of my mods (Kanger TC Top Tank, Smok Quantum Brit)...UNTIL I GOT MY NEBULA KIT! I thought this thing is the SH*t! I'm using the coil that came installed in the tank when I opened my kit.

So I'm ready to change coils so I pop in a ceramic EUC coil fresh from it's blister pack, then...TC isn't working right anymore. Feel's like it's firing at 2 watts, get a whole lot of air and a tiny bit of vapor; just as it has been with my other mods. ??? *SMH*. So I look at the coil I've been using (preinstalled) and it's a traditional EUC coil rated at 50-70 Watts! That's why TC has been working so well. I noticed that my Nebula starts firing at 65W in TC mode at the lowest temp (200f) which is right where I like it. So I go online to my local supplier's site, CanVape.com (no vape shops around me carry any Vaporesso products) and I can't find this coil anywhere! I emailed them and they told me that yes, that is the coil that comes pre-installed; but no we don't carry any replacement 50-70 Watt coils and Vaporesso has not indicated any intent to sell them separately. They only indicated that they plan to start selling 0.15 and 0.18 Clapton coils rated up to 40W.

I even tried the spare coil that came with the kit which is a Ceramic 0.6Ohm SS316 rated at 40-55W. I thought this one should work well, but nope. And I can't buy that coil either! Canvape told me that the only EUC coils available top out at 40W.

I emailed Vaporesso and am currently waiting for a reply.

Other than forgetting about TC and sticking with VW and using the Nebula's Custom Curve Wattage mode, any thoughts?

I'd really like to figure out how to get more of these unicorn coils I have

Thanks cooladdict,

my Veco Plus tank on the Nebula with a EUC ceramic 0.6Ω works really nicely for me, though I still must observe how it works in the long run.
After refilling it with a strong Cuban Supreme tobacco flavour, the first 3 draws were hot, but this went back to normal after that, same TC setting.

And yes, you're right that one must find the right setting matches for mod, tank, coil and AFC, which is not exactly easy while trying to find the personal sweet spot.

I like that you plan to buy a Nebula mod, hoping that you will be pleased with it, though its battery door could have been designed better.
But anyway, this did not pose a problem to me during usage.
I hope that you can find a good 26650 LiIon cell to go with the Nebula, to make it a long runner.
I cannot report on my Brillipower 5Ah yet, as I only used it since yesterday. But it was somewhat difficult to mount in the cell compartment, but I could make it finally.

You will certainly keep us posted, right?

Best regards,
aLyr

PS: Don't try to blow into the mouthpiece of an Estoc Mega tank with bottom AFC. It would then spill loads of liquid out of the AFC holes.
Poor my Tarot Pro.

So, I tried 2 different ceramic coils, the one that came with the kit and the .5ohm. Both got very bland and hard to take a pull after a few days.

I honestly think that my BBB and veco one tank need to be used with a regulated mod where wattage can be adjusted. I don't think tanks like the round unregulated mods that wattage can't be adjusted.

There is no way I believe a ceramic coil would get crappy after 3 days with average vaping. I don't vape every second of every day and sometimes go hours in between.

I think these type of batteries just max out the coils at their higher setting and eventually burn them out to quick.

Both ceramic coils were excellent at first but quickly lost flavor.

Am I crazy? I know the veco one kit has a battery that maxes out at 40W but I don't know if i would vape these ceramic coils near the max range. When I had my normal mod I would stay more toward the bottom range and coils at that time lasted easily a week or longer.

Seriously?? Why wouldn't Vaporesso release the 50-70w coil head in a blister pack? They have so many different coils it's unreal, lol. Our resident expert in all things Nebula and EUC is @aLyr. Maybe he (or she? I actually don't even know, lol!) can help you with some settings for the other coils in the VECO on the Nebula. And you certainly don't sound like a noob, lol! I have been vaping for 5 years and I am still not good at TC. :D

Poor my Tarot Pro.
I will be following your experience wit the Brillpower battery. It would be cool to get long battery life from a 26650, so I am definitely curious as to how that one performs. I am still holding off on pulling the trigger for the Nebula only because it's a single-battery device, but other than that I love the features and I REALLY love the form! It's a gorgeous little mod. :)

Thank you for the tip about not blowing into the Estoc tank! I hate juice leakage! Your Poor Tarot! :( I had a big mess this weekend while we were on vacation with one of my tanks, the Freemax Starre Pure. The threads on that tank are very fussy and I cross threaded the cap after I filled it and had to take the tank apart while it was full of juice. EWWW, lol! At least that spill was all over my hands and not on my mod, but it was a huge mess. :)

Am I crazy? I know the veco one kit has a battery that maxes out at 40W but I don't know if i would vape these ceramic coils near the max range. When I had my normal mod I would stay more toward the bottom range and coils at that time lasted easily a week or longer.
It's very strange that they only lasted a few days! You said you don't use super sweet juice, too, right? That's the only thing that comes to mind for me that would cause them to go bad so fast. When you remove the coil is the cotton really dark? Have you tried running one under warm water to see if the cottn whitens up again? Or running a toothpick or something small through the coil to see if it comes back really dirty? It definitely sounds like they are getting gunked up, but maybe they are actually getting burned out. I don't go anywhere near 40 watts with mine but that just doesn't seem high enough to burn them out. So strange!

It's really strange that your EUC coils lasted just a few days. My ceramic EUCs, mounted in three tanks, did not have to be replaced yet. That is 44, 55, and 62 days by now.

Maybe this is really an issue of using it in a mod which cannot be used in different operating modes, and without being able to change any settings.

All mods I acquired so far are regulated with loads of possibilities to change modes and settings.

Myself, I started loving the ceramic SS316 EUCs in temperature mode, which give me a very nice vaping experience from start to end.
At that, apart from power mode (VW), TC mode will not burn coils. It starts with a high power peak, reducing the power thereafter, also depending on the airflow while drawing.

It is a nice test to try running coils in VW or TC mode, pushing the start button for 10 seconds, but without drawing.
The coil in VW mode will glow red even with low power setting, and possibly will be burnt, while the coil ran in TC mode remains dark.
A nice feature.
There are videos on YouTube to demonstrate this.

It is too early yet to report on my experiences with the Brillipower 26650 (or far better: 26-65-0) 5Ah cell; in my Nebula it has lasted two days already, and it is not yet depleted after the first charge. You might know that once you get some new equipment, you tend to use it more often than the rest in the row of many other e-cigarettes. So do I.
Today, I feel that it can last longer than my Efest 26-65-0 4.2Ah cell.
But both can certainly not reach the level of the dual 18-65-0 Samsung 35E 3.5Ah cells, totalling 7Ah, which I am using in my Tarot Pro mod.
(Removing the before mentioned spill has luckily been quite easy.:))

As to my new Veco Plus tank:
It produced a hot vapor after refilling it with liquid. But this went away after 3 draws. I'll have an eye on this in the future.
My Estoc Megas are different when it comes to refilling. They tend to gurgle on the first draws when the liquid holes were not fully covered before.

Best regards,

@aLyr I'm a little jealous of your success using the euc coils and Veco Plus with the Nebula in TC mode. I must be doing something wrong. Using this setup, everytime I try, it starts firing at 65W and quickly drops to 1W for protection. This action is logical since the coils cap out at 35W. Any advice for me to have your kind of success with TC?

I have nowhere your experience with these ceramic EUC coils, and am using them in a BVC sleeve, not and "actual" EUC tank, and already have almost a month on my first coil, which is vaping along just fine. I have tried it in TC and it vapes fine, but even though I'm a big TC vaper, it's running a bit better for me in power/wattage mode. That could be for several reasons, including the sleeve, rather than native tank use, the mod, an Alien, that I do like but isn't the finest TC mod out there, and because of the slightly tighter than expected airflow I found when first using it.

I'm not a big factory coil vaper and build just about everything else myself, but I will say the clean vape and long life I've had so far will keep me using them.
