Yea, it was a windows update that screwed me. Everything was fine until I put in the latest updates the came up. To be fair the HDD was an old one I swapped in. I'm getting another drive tomorrow.and the upgrade - hard drive and memory - went through without a hitch?????? was that the story? maybe my memory fails me!
