I've been vaping for just over a year now. After spending a few weeks educating myself here at the forum I chose the KR808d-1 as my starter e-cig. Frankly, I've been so pleased with that model that, even though I also have a Riva 901, my KR8s are still my go-to e-cigs for when I'm out and about. Having tried several different brand name and generic batts it seemed to me that aside from length of charge one KR8 was pretty much the same as another. Until now....

I have been reading about the "new style" KR8s such as the "Volt" and "Max Fusion". I wanted to try them, but couldn't justify the expense when I already had several KR8s in all sizes. Then I saw that Ben at VaporNine was offering his "Nebula" starter kits for only $29.95. He stated that the new Nebulas were the same style as Max Fusion.

I still hesitated because the starter kit comes with short (65mm) batteries and only comes in auto at present. I'm not a fan of autos because most that I've tried had a draw that was either so tight I felt like I was trying to suck a ping pong ball through a coffee stirrer, or so loose that it took several hard pulls just to get the darn thing started.:(

Anyway, I finally decided that VaporNine's price was too good to pass up and ordered a starter kit. I placed my order and also ordered a kit and a pass-through for my sister. Unlike many suppliers that only include generic cartos with their starter kits, V9 allowed me to choose flavor and nic strength. I ordered blank cartos for myself and menthol for Sis. I received confimation right away and realized that I had screwed-up. I ordered an extra charger instead of a pass-through.

I sent V9 customer support an e-mail to see if they could help me. The next morning I found a reply from Ben saying that he had me "covered".:2cool: Despite the change in my order it shipped the same day and arrived in two days. That's A+ customer service in my book!

My kit was waiting when I got home from work yesterday. I saw that the cartos were also the new style. (horizontal coil?) The batts have a rubberized finish, instead of paint, which makes them more comfortable to hold. ;-) I filled a carto with 25 drops of one of my favorite juices and gave it a pull.

The draw was perfect!:vapor: No starter puffs. No hard draw. Just a nice, smooth, warm, vape. I didn't put it down for the next two hours. The volume of vapor and flavor rivals dripping into my 901! It really is in a class above any previous KR8 that I've tried over the last year. Also, aside from the starter kits, V9 offers standard and XL("monster") batts at great prices. Ben said that the single batteries are the same style as the ones in the kits.

An excellent vape, at a great price, and backed with first class customer service! What more could I want?
