Author’s Blathering:
This is my first review of any kind, so I hope you find it helpful and entertaining.
Unless otherwise specified, all devices are genuine Joye products. I do not use cartridges. Ever. For me, it’s either cartomizers or direct dripping onto atomizers via a drip tip. I also do not grade throat hit. This is because I deliberately choose options that soften TH to accommodate asthma exacerbated by years of smoking.
VaporRenu Pumpkin Pie
Mix: 6mg Nic, Renu Custom Blend, Smooth Hit
Devices: 510 w/DT, 510 Carto
Flavor Grade: A
Vapor Grade: C
This liquid does justice to the real thing. You can almost feel the texture in the flavor. It has a smooth, flavorful finish. On the down side, the vapor production leaves much to be desired. It got a little better when I switched to dripping, but not enough to merit a better grade. If vapor production isn’t something you’re that concerned about, this is an excellent liquid. I enjoyed it, but I won’t be buying another bottle when I run out.
Final Grade: C+
VaporRenu Strawberry Banana
Mix: 6mg Nic, Renu Custom Blend, Smooth Hit
Devices: 510 w/DT, 510 Carto, Boge 510 Carto, Boge 306 LR Carto, Ego w/Mega-Carto, 306 w/DT, MV Sidesho
Flavor Grade: A+
Vapor Grade: A
My quest for the perfect strawberry banana flavor was like some alchemical epic. I tried different vendors. I mixed juices. I even ventured into the unknown wilderness of DIY. All of this was to no avail. Then, like a merciful Deus ex Machina, this liquid arrived. Not to mince words, it is awesome. The flavor is brilliant (more fruit than candy). It performed well across a wide variety of devices and the vapor production was solid. Even the smooth hit formula had a pleasant little kick to it. This flavor is one of three that I always have on my person.
Final Grade: A
VaporRenu Root Beer Float
Mix: 6mg Nic, Renu Custom Blend, Smooth Hit
Devices: 510 w/DT, 510 Carto, Boge 510 Carto, Boge 306 LR Carto, 306 w/ DT, MV Sidesho
Flavor Grade: A-
Vapor Grade: A
If you like root beer barrel candy, this is the liquid for you. I can’t really taste the “float” element, but the flavor is good enough that I don’t really care. You should be warned that this is a strong flavor, the kind you use to purge other bad flavors from your atomizers. It’s not overpowering, but it’s not messing around either. The vapor production is consistently good. I usually value flavor a little over vapor, but there’s no need to compromise here. You get both. I have tried other root beer flavors from other vendors, but this is the only one that I’ve bought more than one bottle of. This is another one of big three juices.
Final Grade: A
VaporRenu Pina Colada
Mix: 6mg Nic, Renu Custom Blend, Smooth Hit
Devices: 510, Boge 510 Carto, MV Sidesho
Flavor Grade: D
Vapor Grade: A
This juice kicked like a mule despite being the smooth formula. Scratch that. It kicked like a decidedly ...... mule. The flavor was spot on, but it was nauseatingly overpowering. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the stuff clung to my atomizers with some kind of herculean death grip. Not even the above mentioned root beer or the legendary power of atomic cinnacide could dislodge this beastly juice. It’s a shame because the flavor would have been great if it hadn’t been so strong. The vapor production was also excellent which is probably because the atomizer was weeping. On the bright side, this liquid gave me some wisdom in a very tough love kind of way. Never try a new liquid with a cartomizer first.
Final Grade: D
Postscript:
You: Wait! You only reviewed two of your big three liquids? What’s the other one?
Me: Ah-ha! The plot thickens. Wait and see.
