The road to hades is paved with good intentions and I'm not even sure about the good intentions part where freetovape is concerned.
The freetovape.org website is soliciting personal information and yet
whois shows that the sneaky owner of the website chose to hide behind a proxy registration company, Contact Privacy Inc., rather than using their own name or the name of their organization.

Also, aside from the issue of heaven only knows who is soliciting personal information for heaven only knows for what purposes the page in which one enters this sensitive information is not secure.
If that wasn't bad enough freetovape is robbing people of the right to make any sort of comment to the FDA that has a chance to have any impact whatsoever. People are only allowed to make one comment and the type of information solicited in the freetovape form is suitable for sending to elected officials but does not include the type of information that the FDA will find relevant.
The FDA will totally dismiss out of hand all comments that contain nothing but anecdotal information. While personal stories and experiences can be useful for illustrative purposes the FDA is simply not going to consider anything but factual information from authoritative sources that are very specific to the deeming regulations.
CASAA has long experience as an advocacy organization for vapers. They have an
Overview of CASAA's Action Plan Regarding Proposed FDA Regulations. It is a well thought out action plan from an organization run by people who seriously know their stuff.
CASAA has advised vapers to refrain from using their single allowed comment until closer to the deadline for comments. That will give CASAA and
vaping vendors critical time to more carefully analyze the FDA's deeming regulations and to assess the impact they will have. That way our comments can be targeted to the specifics of the most harmful of the proposed regulations and CASAA will have time to gather supporting evidence to be included in comments.
If you want to help please join CASAA (free) and follow their lead in fighting the FDA . That will give your comment the best chance of having a meaningful impact.
