My complex is not wired for cable! IN 2012!!!! NO CABLE!!!! Our ONLY option is satelite. That kind of sucks in South Florida where we have daily thunderstorms and despite the claims that it really doesn't lose signal all that often, it does.

Well, I haven't had cable TV in over 3 years now. And honestly I don't miss it. I have Netflix and Hulu Plus. I do pretty good with just those. Cable TV is just too expensive. Sadly I live in the boonies, so I don't get off the air. But should be moving hopefully by the end of the year. Closer to the city I should be able to OTA.

That's crazy! Our house was built in the last decade and the owner was too cheap to spring for cat5 when they pulled the cable wires (of course he used the cheapest coax he could get too). Once finances get better, I'm gonna pull cat5 though every cable outlet back to either a small closet, or the pantry, for a router & patch panel. Need wired speeds at some locations instead of wireless.

That's my one concern when my parents buy a house later this year. Cable quality. Thankfully I'm skilled enough in low voltage wiring that I can go in and do it all myself. Especially since I will want to install some ceiling speakers and the like. And depending on the back yard, some outdoor speakers. My electronics experience really came into play when I started vaping. Oms and the like aren't stranger to me. :)

All this talk of beer. I may have to venture over to Total Wine tomorrow. They do more than wine of course ... their beer selection is HUGE. Kind of in the mood for my Aventinus. I'm broken even now on vaping costs ... so I suppose I can treat myself to a few nice beers. Also going to hit up IKEA and finally get my Poang chair and ottoman. I think my back will love me for it. Since my current recliner is so worn out.

Now that they've privatized liquor, bottle shops are starting to open up. Two BevMo stores have opened up in the state so far. I'm hoping for more.

The Brother Theo, I got out of the clearance bin at the local grocery store for just a few bucks. :) Love store employees that don't understand good beer. They thought they needed to sell it off because it was getting old. LOL

I've never lived anywhere that I can recall that had all those crazy state owned beverage stores and the like. The whole concept boggles me. When I need booze, I goto ABC (Brand name) and buy what I want.

Well, at this point even local grocery stores have add on liquor stores.
