Honestly not a huge fan of Warsteiner.. it's like the americanized scraps the US gets for German beer. I will drink it over a lot of other things but just not my favorite. I used to live in Germany, so I'm spoiled.

My brother in law lived in germany when he was in the military for 8 years. He is very picky about what beer he drinks also. The Warsteiner is what the wife likes, I drink it too don't get me wrong, I do prefer the Mönchshof Schwarzbier . I don't generally see Warsteiner @ Oktoberfest in New Orleans, LOL.

Well since were talking about food and drink. Tonight I had some chili and cheese Johnsonville sausages wrapped in bacon on the grill and had a few Dos Equis with it. Now I'm relaxing with a tall glass of Crown and coke.

Yeah I was stationed in Rammstein with the Air Force, traveled a lot and sampled a lot of beer.. Schofferhofer has been my favorite of all time! I've never tried the Mönchshof though, so may have to give it a try. It's not easy to get the Schofferhofer in the US.

Sounds refreshing...

Mönchshof has a molasses note in the background I really like. I like darker beers to begin with. Mönchshof would be my #1 with Guinness a close second.

I do like the Dunkel...dark beer, LOL. TurboDog by Abita is not one of my favorites though, I do like Purple Haze (Raspberry Wheat ale)...in a keg. It tastes different for some reason in a bottle, dunno.
