Nice! I'll traded you two vape bands for one..

I added my own touch to the VS after work.

The Pit of Despair
If they were actually made outside the US, I'm pretty confident that VS would have to state where they are made, either somewhere on the product itself, or at least on the packaging.

Why, because VA labels their Paps with "Made in Greece," or any other modder that manufactures outside the US? They don't.
I'm confident it's made in China from the internals. And if it were made here, they'd be touting that fact. The US manufactures plenty of insulated AWG copper wire. Why would they source standard wire from Shenzhen, the Chinese capital of e-cig manufacturing? Also, the assembly screws are metric. A US manufacturer would be much more likely to use off-the-shelf SAE screws. It's a nice little PV, but it's made in China.

Wonder if theres a J Wrap size for VS. I want to keep it nice as long as possible...

Yes: J-Wraps for the Vaporshark.

Well, it does seem to be required. ;)

It's the 21st century. Metric screws are available off-the-shelf in the US. Also, DNA boards are made in the US, so VS would have to send them to China first in order to have the whole thing assembled there? I'm skeptical.

One potential explanation is that they have the whole thing except for the DNA board assembled in China, and that it gets shipped here ready to have the DNA board soldered to the rest of the rest of the unit. If they're doing that, it wouldn't surprise me if they can get away with only marking the outer container (because they're importing unfinished goods) and that the cost of the VS w/o the DNA board in it is actually less than the DNA board itself. This would then place the finished product in a sort of gray area; if I were doing it that way, I certainly wouldn't tout "Made in USA", but since most of the cost is a made-in-USA component, the finished product wouldn't have to be marked "Made in China" either.

Just got my Atomic in preparation for my VS...let me say: this thing is awesome. If you are looking for something that can do single/dual coils with AFC this is a great choice. It's also pretty small diameter wise so it should look awesome on the VS. Running a single .7 with the 2mm hole...that's only 24w and it's ripping. Can't wait to see 30 watts in action :D

Had a charging question but read the specs on my wall charger wrong, sorry can't figure out how to delete post.

Was just trying to figure out why it took so long to charge my Vapor Shark, was about 3.5 hours to full charge. Looks like my wall charger is rated @ 1.5A and the DNA charge port is .5A. 3+ hours seems kind of long for 1200mAh @ .5A

Is anyone having intermittent fire issues with the button? Just starting today it seems I have to press the fire button pretty hard to get it to fire. And even then it doesn't want to fire every time.

Mine fires immediately once the fire button clicks and I dont even have to press hard. Thats definitely an issue, I would call VS right away.

If charging were 100% efficient, it would take 2.4 hours for a 500 mA charging circuit to put 1200 mAh into your battery. But charging is NOT 100% efficient. Moreover, an intelligent charger will not dump it's full output rating into a battery the whole time it's charging it; as the voltage of the battery comes up, the current will taper off. This increases charging time, but it's also much easier on the battery.

Nub question...Can I use a plug to charge directly from an outlet? I have a plug that you can use for usb cables for evic to charge directly from the wall. Its rated 500A. Is it safe to use this? Ive heard many lipo battery stories and theyre crazy scary!
I'm sure you mean 500 mA. :D

It should be fine to use any USB power source rated 500 mA or higher.

Running a Nimbus single coil .9 25 watts. Cloud chasing is not for me. I have a headache with only 6 mg nic...

I'll keep my Kayfuns. It was fun, but I'm done with it!
