Update on Nautilus TSCs. I have been using these on my rDNA40 with full size Nautilus. I previously kept track of my BVC/rDNA30 usage so I could have a good comparison.

TSC seems to last slightly longer so far, and has less fall off of flavor over time than BVC. I start them at about 10W run them up to 11W over the first day and then up to 12W on day 3 or so. My current TSC just finished day 7 with a 70/30 PG/VG flavored juice. It has been very stable - no misfires/glitches/temp warnings

Regarding temperature, I just left it at the default 450F. With a 3 to 5 second draw, the temp rises to about 410F or so at 12W. I figure that 10% over normal is a good threshold for the protection. The only time I hit temp protection was when the first coil started going bad (resistance risen more than 10%, big drop in flavor). It would be nice to know the "recommended" temp protection for these coils, but I guess I'm comfortable enough at these levels I haven't bothered to write to Vaporshark to find out.

I have still to test with my other regular juice, but if that works well also, I am pretty sure these TSCs will be my new standard vape. I would recommend the TSC coils to anyone who wants temperature protection without the fuss of building your own coils.

So with the new features, they are increasing the charge rate? Given it was up to 800mA, does it mean that it's up to 1.3A? How does this affect the batteries? Are there batteries this is not okay with?

Welp! Actually most high drain has much higher input current capacity.

The vtc5 has either 3A or 4A.

The Samsung 25R has a 4A

Can't find it for the HE2 though

Found it!
Standard charge: 1.25 A
Fast charge: 4A

I personally don't want or need any of those but that is the standard now? I would not want a larger screen. Having the buzzer thing is neat I guess but since it's already protected I don't really see the point. Anyway, it's cool they are adding stuff.

I would be "that guy" putting the battery in backwards just to hear the buzzer..... yeah I'm 10 years old mentally

CyberMonday Shipping Commences
from end of Next Week
In batches. Seems like 900 units were sold on that day alone

That would be good news, from the email it sounded more like 2 weeks before they would start shipping. They are doing a better job of communicating and I like that they took advantage of the delay to improve the product, I'm still not pleased with the delay but I am happy with the way they're handling it.

The new charging feature claims to need a 2 amp usb charger to take full advantage of the new charging system, I wonder if they have changed to 2x 1amp chargers or just added a second .8 charger(iirc what the original was). I also wonder if it will charge faster with wireless charging. Either way this is best new feature IMO, I don't have a 2 amp charger but that should be easy enough to find.

The new screen might be nice but I hope it doesn't make it more vulnerable to damage. The new reverse polarity alarm doesn't seem very useful but I can't imagine it being a negative either.

I have to say that personally I've never had an issue with the BVC coils wicking at all, every coil I've ever used has worked flawlessly actually. About 10 mins in to the use of one of the BVC coils I really think the flavor is some of the best I've had, that includes Kayfuns. Unfortunately the coils don't last a really long time but when I want a reliable hassle free vape, I will definitely use a BVC. Never had a Nautilus Mini flood or leak on me. I'm not a chain vaper either but I don't think any production coils could really hold up to long stretches of chain vaping, I could be wrong and I haven't tried the new coils yet but just sharing my experience with the BVC heads. For what they are and how they perform, I really like them as an alternate to my Kayfun's.

I should have stated it better. If there is a limitation on the new BVC nickel coils, it would be with the wicking, as opposed to the wicking of a Lemo or the sort. You're just not going to achieve constant juice saturation to the coil with that wick setup to prevent TP coming on a lot, especially with high VG. That's where TP shines.

I decided that because A) I didn't receive an email and B) I was on the phone with them earlier this week about my order.... And they made no mention of this.

They didn't tell anyone else that's been in contact with them either or we would have heard about it, I imagine they wanted to be tight lipped about it until they had everything finalized. I would think that if your hasn't shipped that it could very well be the newer design.

Edit: Just saw that you didn't get the email, in that case you may be right but they also might have just sent them out to cyber monday orders and overlooked the few others they had. *shrug*

Right on, I get what you're saying and you are right. I am really curious to try the ni200 BVC coils though. I have yet to get the nerve to spend $18 plus shipping for a pack of 5. Is anyone else selling these yet besides VS? I think I'd like to wait for them to come down in price. Right now the price is set to gouge you when the cost to produce them can't or shouldn't be any higher than than what the kanthal ones are. It's not like ni200 wire costs more.

I bought a couple 5 packs from VS just to try out. They are overpriced but should come down when other vendors start carrying them, unless VS has a lock on them. If they last twice as long they should even out.

So, I rarely see TP with the Ni coils I've built myself .13ohm/11- 12w/400deg is exactly what I was after and makes me think I've found a good balance.

But with the pre-made Aspire TSC heads there's nothing to adjust. At .3ohm/11 - 12w/400, 450, 470deg the ohms have stayed rock-steady but TP flashes way too soon. Although it doesn't 'feel' like there's a problem with wicking, could it be anything else?
I do 18-20 watts at 370 deg with the Nautilus with largest air hole setting. No flashing TP ever. I usually use juices with around 60-70% VG.

If they do last longer than the kanthal coils I'd be a happy man.

Well...... Speculation and evidence is all I have to go on...... Seeing as how the communications from Vaporshark can be less than accurate ( read not truthful )

I really think you should be the last one to question accuracy in communication.
First you decide VS is going to screw you and that you must share this conclusion. (accuracy = 0)
When pressed you admit your conclusion is based on speculation and not evidence. (accuracy = 0)
Now you accuse VS of being liars, without evidence. (Lie a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive.) (accuracy = 0)
VS has never lied to me.
