They have the base model for $215cnd. At provape it's onsale for $159.95us with a 1 week waiting period. I Guess it's nice to be able to get one in Canada quick and in stock if you have the coin to drop on a whim.

I was thinking of getting a Provari but after trying a Darwin a few times I prefer the Set by Watt method over a Vari-voltage device. I think that's the way for the future! Way more consistent vape than VV!!

I was also chatting with someone that ownes a Provari and a Darwin, They said the Darwin's battery lasts way longer (over a day) and their Provari eats batteries daily! Provari you swap and charge batts daily if it's your main vape and with the Darwin, no swapping, built-in USB charger. I also like the simplicity of setting up the Darwin over the multi-click of the Provari.

Provari - One year Warranty with option to buy extra year
Darwin - 2 year warranty included.

I was a lil put out to see VS using the MSRP pricing especially with our strong dollar, as well as no mention on their site about the handling of warranty.

Oh well, at least more options are now becoming avail here in Canada recently !

ps: Let not turn this into 'another' provari/darwin debate thread again..... mmmmmkay ?

People got to MAKE money too o_0...

It's not like these things have 70points of margins...

A rip off is buying a mattress at the brick... that's like 70+ points of margin :D

EDIT: ESPECIALLY when the market is so thin... I'm sure if they where selling 100+ units a month they would drop their prices...

Yeah - I don't think we should complain about prices...

KEY FACTORS:

1) VS is in BC - highest cost of living in Canada

2) They assume the risk - most likely not buying volume - quick turnaround + peace of mind

3) We get bonned on everything else - gas, housing, taxes (I think their products prices "include" taxes) etc...

4) WE MAKE MORE MONEY ON AVERAGE THAN AMERICANS...

... list can go on and on and on...

Avoiding small business is how they go OUT of business... we don't want that; do we?
