Yep! I like the DCT v2 for EGO batt's. The regular DCT is much bigger, and I think looks better on something like a tube mod.

(The DCT's have a carto inside, which has the same 510 threads as regular cartos. The tanks should work on most 510 devices, and are compatible with any EGO or Riva batteries)

I'm really enjoying the steel colored eGo upgrade I just purchased from you.
I'd like to buy another, but I'm thinking I'd like a black one so I'd have one of each color.
Any idea when you'll have the black ones in stock?
Thanks!

PS: You guys are fantastic. Excellent customer service, good products and super fast shipping.
I'd like to thank you, you're my first stop when I have the itch to buy something new :)

I sent another inquiry about the Amp limit, but it was among others, and I didn't get an answer to that. I have just sent another follow up.

EDIT: Still no answer... I have asked again. But I've also toyed with mine a bit. Here's what I got -

1. With EGO Twist cranked to 4.8v, my meter reads 4.9 unloaded. With a 1.5ohm (verified) load (DC Carto), The meter reads between 3.8 and 3.9v. Doing some quick math (here: http://www.ohmslawcalculator.com/ohms_law_calculator.php), It appears the Amp limit is about 2.5-2.6 Amps.

2. Using a 2.2 ohm cartomizer (a regular 2 ohm, metered at 2.2), and the EGO Twist still cranked up, the meter tells me 4.8v. This would equal a current of about 2.2 amps. Still under the 2.5-2.6 limit we found earlier.

My conclusion: Both the DC and LR cartos hit great. Though... like the LT VV, the EGO-C Twist is likely better suited for single coil cartos, to keep the overall load down. [END EDIT]

I expect EGO-C twist batteries to be in stock any day. I have 2 orders for them on the way.

Thanks, JJ! I can look at getting more upgrade batteries. Would you guys prefer the EGO-T or EGO-C upgrades? The EGO-C's are a bit more expensive, but will have the low battery indicator when in regulated voltage mode. If you use them in Unregulated mode, I don't think they'll perform the same, so might as well save some cheddar...

Honestly, we'll probably switch everything over to the upgrade style. They just make sense,

Ty

I've only been vaping for about a week now but I just ordered one of these from you and can't wait to get it. I'm assuming I can use a 2.0 or 2.7 boge carto on these with out a problem. Am I understanding correctly that with the LR cartos I can't up the voltage as much as with the regular cartos? Still trying to understand this.

Suggestion:

I'd been looking on your website-- under batteries-- for the EGo TWIST and no listing.

So I assumed you didn't have it. Until I read this thread, which I hardly ever read.

You really should have a separate listing for the TWIST and not bury it in the eGo-C catagory !

I just ordered one, and thanks for the great ECF price.

You can use almost any resistance atty on a vv device--that's the beauty of it! You just need to adjust the voltage to the resistance of your atomizer to find your sweet spot--the best warmth, vapor production and flavor.

I suggest you start somewhere around 3.4v for your LR cartomizers and work your way up if necessary. Standard resistance cartos (~2.7-3Ω or so) should work fine on 3.8-4.5v, depending on your preference and the flavor of your eliquid. Tobaccos and coffees, for instance, like it warm (higher wattage). Delicate flavors like fruit and some desserts taste better on lower wattages. That is my experience, of course, and YMMV... :)

The formula for calculating the wattage is: Watts (power, heat) = Voltage (of your battery) squared divided by resistance (of your atomizer).

Generally speaking, 5 Watts to 8 Watts is a happy place for most vapers.

And here's my handy calculator, in case you need it:

got my twist today..now that is fast. playing around with it and so far, this is awesome! no instructions with it, so I'm looking around what the flashing lights mean, beyond the 5 click on and off. I have my sr vision on there now. I don't have any other 510 stuff to go with it...silly me, forgot to order some boge for the 510.

Thanks Katya!

Div, Yeah... no instructions. unfortunately. For the lights... It's the same as the other EGO-C batteries. It should flash 3 times when toggled on or off. When depleted, I believe it flashes 15 times. You know it's depleted, because it wont light back up, until plugged in. There are also warning lights, that may flash if connected to a bad atomizer. If you notice this, remove and test the atty before further use.

Also, regarding the AMP limit - I still can't get a straight answer (and it's not for lack of effort). I've explained it every way I can think to, and they just keep saying that if turned up to 4.8v, it should output 4.8v, and they just won't consider the load.

My experience with the device, has been great. I still use DC cartos on there, as the voltage is still higher than a standard ego battery, even at 3.7v, and am quite pleased. I do like the Boge or Smok Tech 2.0's on there also. but I tend to crank them up a little higher (because I can) and still get about 2-3 days use, per carto. It's like a little lavatube (and it's EGO compatible). and since I got mine, I dont really take my MODs out of the house anymore. I just bring 2 EGO-C Twists, and i'm golden ;)

Hello there, Ty! Long time! :)

I love my eGo Twist! Ordered Sunday night, found it in my mailbox Tuesday morning! You guys are good! :thumb:

Anyway, I'm having a lot of fun with that battery. I'm even using my old SR cartos that I thought I'd never be able to use again, like my SmokeStik cartos--they absolutely shine on higher voltages! Even some of my juices I had given up on taste just fine with a bit more Wattage. Who needs a Provari? :D

Now if you could only get those SmokTech eGo single coil cartos... I loved the prototype, but 4.5 ml was just too big for me. Any news?

Well, I don't use atty's generally except to test new flavors out..I like my cartos and Visions. I have my twist up here in the mountains..and the flavors are coming thru nicely. Still playing with it. DC cartos? going to have to look into those.
Thanks for the heads up on the flashing lights. I got the on and off pretty good, lol. :)
Thanks Katya!

Hey! Great to hear it!

There have been major issues with ALL of my SMOK TECH orders since DECEMBER! I am still trying to get the new XL Cartos, and kits, though the delay in fulfillment has forcibly caused me to alter my priorities. I'm running low on nearly ALL of my cartos, and starter kits, and business is really suffering because of it. Until I can get these things sorted out, I simply won't have the time for things like that. It's a real shame... because at this point, customers are walking away. No matter how good our warranties, customer service, or shipping is, it's not worth anything if we can't keep up with demand.

when I wrote atomizer, I basically meant load. its a little easier than writing out 'atomizer/cartomizer' everytime... especially when abbreviated to atty. besides... Cartomizers have a built in atomizer ;)
