Hi

My new Varicool Dynamite mod is ready to tease genesis atomizers
with 30+ Watts of power. The mod works fine with 0,3 ohm to 2,8 ohm setups

There is a 10Amp limit in the mod and 2x18650 Samsung CGR 2800mah batteries, voltage range is 3-6 volts and the mods height is 9cm.

Yes Pin 1 is the inhibit pin and a N.C. push button (tact) to gnd can be used to turn on the converter when the P.B. is pressed causing the gnd to pin 1 open.
I personally never use the inhibit pin. I prefer applying voltage to the converter only when needed via a N.O. 3amp P.B. Use of the inhibit pin will trickle down battery life.
That is my preference and I am not condemning those who go the inhibit pin route.

1mA standby current is hardly much price for the benefits of using the inhibitor pin. Given the capabilities of the regulator vs the buttons usually used in these mods, it seems pointless to use this regulator if you are not going to use the inhibit pin.

One could always put a main shutoff switch or remove batteries to stop this standby drain.

I have no problem understanding folks using a Master on/off and fat buttons, I just thought I had read it was included.

Normally-open, hmm? Dratted work arounds - I seem to recall a resistor and a jumper to a NC tact for the OKR mod.

Well, it's still lovely and the schematic and replies are greatly appreciated!

Another benefit of ignoring pin 1 is that the build is simpler and can be smaller that way. This is how I like to use these also, and I even forego the vv by using a fixed resistor for an even smaller build.

I'd say the real reason to use these are for the step down efficiency and ample power.
